(Revelation
1:1-3)
The
Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him
TO
SHOW HIS SERVANTS WHAT MUST SOON TAKE PLACE.
He
made it known by sending His angel to His servant John,
2
Who Testifies to everything he saw--
That
is, the Word of God and the Testimony of Jesus Christ.
3
Blessed is the one who reads the words of this Prophecy,
And
Blessed are those who hear it
AND
TAKE TO HEART WHAT IS WRITTEN IN IT,
BECAUSE
THE TIME IS NEAR.
Christ
Jesus came to the apostle John for the specific purpose
Of
telling him what must Soon Take Place.
He
did not want any of His servants to be in doubt
As
to what would happen when they died.
And
what would happen when God wrapped up “Time”--
When
“Time” came to an END.
Soon,
of course, was much longer than many expected;
It
was the apostle Peter who said that to the Lord,
A
day was like a Thousand Years.
We
have had approximately 6,000 years of Scriptural history.
Just
as in “Creation” God worked for Six Days and rested the Seventh,
So
God is about to rest from His dealings with mankind.
The
Sixth Day of his dealing with mankind is about over.
So
that when Christ Jesus was speaking with John,
He
saw that only Two Days, Two Thousand Years,
Were
left until His return,
Which
was to Him, Soon.
Many
have viewed the Book of Revelation as a Mystery
That
few if any can understand.
However,
Christ Jesus says:
“Blessed”
is the one who reads the words of His Prophecy.
And
“Blessed are those who hear it
And
take to heart what is written in it.”
In
other words,
This
book was definitely meant to be read and understood,
Because
one cannot take to heart
That
which he does not understand.
Those
who take into their heart what Christ Jesus says,
And
apply it to their lives, they will be “Blessed.”
