Justified before God
Toni Babcock
"Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus." (Romans 3:24 KJV)
Believers in Christ come from different religious backgrounds, but we do not lean on religious formulas, traditions, or even our own decisions to justify ourselves before God - that spiritual merit is reserved for Christ alone.
Hence, it is crucial that Christians having the mind of Christ, come to a consensus as to what it actually means, and what it does not mean to be justified before God and 'born again' by the Spirit.
What I refer to is that spiritual regeneration of which we must agree is an act of God, the fruit of which, people decide to follow Christ - and lest there be any debate, the power of the gospel itself ignites this new life.
It is the gospel of Christ which is the power of God that turns the heart toward surrender to the truth of God and empowers the will to follow Jesus. (Romans 1:16 KJV)
This is why our primary concern as followers of Jesus Christ is to preach and teach the gospel.
No true believer in Jesus would debate the fact that we as humans are not the cause or the means of our own salvation.
No one who loves Jesus wants to take this credit away from the Savior. God must act, and praise the Lord He has in Christ.
Our justification before God is rooted in faith in what Christ has done for us while we were yet sinners.
"But God commendeth his love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8 KJV)

My comments: We are Justified by Faith, as long as we continue to walk in the Spirit in Obedience to the Word of God. Our Faith and Justification is demonstrated by Obedience.
