Phil Robertson Warns 'Whole World' is Under Control of Satan, Asks Democratic Party: 'Do Y'all Love or Hate Jesus?'
Phil Robertson of "Duck Dynasty" fame said he often wonders if members of the Democratic Party "love Jesus" or hate Him and warned that the "whole world" is under the control of the Evil One.
After being introduced by his son, Pastor Alan Robertson, at the Family Research Council's Values Voter Summit on Friday, the new CRTV host pulled his Bible from his camouflage bag and talked about how he's dedicated his life to sharing the gospel with those who are "down and out."
He referenced 1 Thessalonians 4:11, which reads, "Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands."
Robertson says he strives to live a quiet life and mind his own business - in fact, he's never "turned on the internet and looked at it."
"When I hear about the vitriol and the hatred, just remember I love you," he said. "I really do. You know why? I've identified you as human beings. So, I love you. And God loves you."
"I'm almost tempted to ask the Democratic Party four little words," he continued. "Do y'all love Jesus? The reason I'm asking you, Democratic Party, is I've never heard you say one way or the other. Do you love him? And I'm waiting on an answer."
Robertson asked the same question of mainstream media outlets CNN, CBS, and MSNBC.
"Do you folks love Jesus? Because I've never heard you say one way or another. Maybe, or, do you hate him? Do you love him or do you hate him? I'll unashamedly say I love him. I'll tell anybody that. The final question I would like to ask everyone, including you -- what's wrong with Jesus? I've investigated him. I've carefully inspected the man. I can't find anything wrong with him," Robertson said.
"The whole world is under the control of the evil one," he said, pointing to the Las Vegas massacre and the sexual abuse allegations surrounding disgraced Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein. "Satan has taken them captive to do his will...evil doesn't need a motive. All it needs is Satan, working in people, prompting people."
"We give them the bad news first," he said. "But you know what, we don't need to forget something...Weinstein can be forgiven. Don't forget that."
He added, "I've had some pretty raunchy sins in my first 28 years on the earth...Grace is far better than law. Grace says all your past sins can be removed and never counted against you again."
Admitting he looks "a little rough around the edges," Robertson pointed out that many people in the Bible -- including John the Baptist -- "looked rougher than I do." And while he has enjoyed fame and fortune, neither of those things can "remove my sin and raise me from the dead."
"Jesus rose from the dead," he said. "I can have life and immortality...this grace was given us in Christ Jesus."
He added, "Can you imagine what you would hear if you gave me an hour?"
As earlier reported, the outspoken "Duck Commander" is joining the growing team at Conservative Review TV(CRTV), a $99 per year digital streaming network for a show titled "In the Woods with Phil."
"What does a man do when they try to run him out of town for quoting a Bible verse? I tell you what he does; he goes deep in the woods," Robertson says in a promotional video for the new show.
"For far too long we have been told to shut up. No more. Here's the deal, America. These are my woods. Out here, I call the shots. Out here, we reject political correctness, or as I like to say, 'pontificated crap.'"
Robertson joins commentators Mark Levin, Steven Crowder and Michelle Malkin on CRTV.
"Most media are ashamed of America, its values, and just has an aversion to plain old common sense," Robertson told The Hollywood Reporter.
"What did I hear today? That a girl can now be a Boy Scout? The name is 'Boy Scout.' How hard is that to understand? If liberals and Hollywood elites are going to pressure a network and advertisers to abandon me for saying something that is common sense as 'you need to be a boy to be a Boy Scout,' then I am going to go where they can't silence me. I have never been one to shut up."
