There
are Two Christianities in the World today;
One is
of God and His Christ Jesus and His Word
And
the other of “man.”
This
is why Christ Jesus said:
When
the Son of Man comes will He find FAITH on Earth? (Luke 18:8)
The
apostle Paul described them this way:
They
hold a Form of Piety (true religion),
But
they Deny and Reject and are Strangers to the Power of it—
Their
Conduct belies the Genuineness of their Profession.
Avoid
[all] such people—turn away from them.
(2
Timothy 3:5, AMP)
Where
do we find the definition of these Two?
A good
starting point are the Seven Letters to the Seven Churches
That
Christ Jesus wrote.
Even
before the last apostle died, John,
The
Church of Christ was in Trouble.
Five
of them had a Christianity of “man” and Two of Christ.
To
the Church in Ephesus
Christ Jesus told them all the good
things they had done,
Things that any Church would be
proud of,
But then said this One Thing Negated
All of that:
'I
have this [one charge to make] against you,
That
you have left (abandoned) the love that you had At First--
You
have Deserted [Me], your First Love.'
Remember
from what Heights you have Fallen.
Repent—change
the inner man to meet God's Will--
And
do the Works you did previously [when first you knew the Lord].
Or
else I will visit you and Remove your Lampstand from its place,
Unless
you Change you mind and Repent.
He
who is able to Hear,
Let
him listen to and give Heed to what the Spirit says
To
the Assemblies (the churches).
To
him who Overcomes (is victorious)
I
will Grant to Eat [of the fruit] of The Tree Of LIFE,
Which
is in the Paradise of God. [Gen. 2:9; 3:24.]
FIRST
LOVE is what the Saints exhibited on The Day of Pentecost
And
immediately thereafter, and throughout the Book of Acts,
When
they were Fully aware of the New Reality
That
Christ Jesus had pour out His Spirit upon them
And
they were Ecstatic about this.
That
Defines First Love.
FIRST
LOVE is the Full Awareness of what God has done for us.
That
He has Saved us out of this Wicked World that is going to Hell
And
Filled us with His Spirit, His Anointing,
That
He has put His Law in our mind and written it upon our heart.
Now,
No Man needs to Teach us to Know the Lord
Because
All such people Know Him from the least to the greatest.
(Jeremiah
31:31-34; Hebrews 8:10)
That
Now, it is Christ In you the Hope of Glory or Heaven [Col. 1:27]
And
your life is a Demonstration of that Reality;
You
live in First Love.
The
Christianity of Christ Jesus is Continuous Revival;
It
is the Continuation of The Day of Pentecost,
And
the Out Working of that Reality,
As
the First New Testament Church Demonstrated
Throughout
the Book of Acts.
However,
before the Last Apostle died this First Love had Waned.
And
the Church had become the Work of “man,”
And
No Longer the Church of Jesus Christ.
This
is the common Malady of the Church,
Throughout
the Old testament and the New;
Today,
Most of the Church is the Work of “man.”
There
is No Revival, No First Love.
Today,
[people] will not Tolerate (endure)
Sound
and Wholesome Instruction,
But
having ears itching [for something pleasing and gratifying],
They
have gathered to themselves one Teacher after another
To
a Considerable number,
Chosen
to Satisfy their own liking
And
to Foster the Errors they hold.
(2
Timothy 4:3, AMP)
The
Church has done what it Always does,
Accommodated
itself to the Wicked Culture that surrounds it.
The
True Church of Christ Jesus
Will
look like the New Testament Church in the Book of Acts
It
was Not just a Form, but had the Power of Christ in Demonstration;
It
was in the Control of the Spirit of God and Not “man.”.
This
is what the Apostle Paul said to the Church at Corinth:
My
Language and my Message were not set forth
In
Persuasive (enticing and plausible) words of wisdom,
But
they were in DEMONSTRATION of the (Holy) Spirit and Power
[That
is, A PROOF BY THE SPIRIT AND POWER OF OF GOD,
Operating
on me and Stirring in the minds of my hearers
The
Most Holy Emotions and thus Persuading them],
SO
THAT YOUR FAITH MIGHT NOT REST IN THE WISDOM OF MEN
(Human
philosophy), BUT IN THE POWER OF GOD.
(1
Corinthians 2:4,5, AMP)
We
all must ask ourselves, what does our Faith Rest upon?
