THE ONE SURE THING

The ONE SURE THING in this World

Is God and His Word which are One.

There is Nothing Else that can be counted on.

Christ Jesus said:

The Sky and the Earth (that is the Universe, the World) will Pass Away;

BUT MY WORDS WILL NOT PASS AWAY.

But take heed to yourselves and be on your Guard

Lest your hearts be Overburdened and Depressed--Weighed down—

With the giddiness and headache and nausea of Self-indulgence,

Drunkenness , and Worldly worries and cares

Pertaining to (the business of) this life,

AND THAT DAY COME UPON YOU SUDDENLY LIKE A TRAP OR A NOOSE;

FOR IT WILL COME UPON ALL WHO LIVE

UPON THE FACE OF THE ENTIRE EARTH.

KEEP AWAKE THEN AND WATCH AT ALL TIMES

(That is, be discreet, attentive and ready);

Praying that you may have the full strength and ability

AND BE ACCOUNTED WORTHY TO ESCAPE ALL THESE THINGS

[Taken together] that will take place,

And to Stand in the Presence of the Son of Man.

YOUR WORD, O LORD IS ETERNAL;

It Stands Firm in the Heavens.

Your Faithfulness continues through all generations

YOUR LAWS ENDURE TO THIS DAY, FOR ALL THINGS SERVE YOU.

If your Law had not been my delight,

I would have Perished in my Affliction.

I will never forget your Precepts, for by them you have renewed my life.

SAVE ME, FOR I AM YOURS; I have Sought Out your Precepts.

THE WICKED ARE WAITING TO DESTROY ME,

But I will Ponder your Statutes.

TO ALL PERFECTION I SEE A LIMIT;

But your Commands are Boundless.

OH, HOW I LOVE YOUR LAW!

I Meditate on it all day long.

Your Commands make me wiser than my Enemies,

FOR THEY ARE EVER WITH ME.

I have more Insight than all my Teachers,

For I Meditate on Your Statutes.

I have more Understanding than the Elders,

For I Obey Your Precepts.

I have kept my feet from every Evil Path

So that I might Obey Your Word.

I have not Departed from Your Laws,

For You Yourself have Taught me.

HOW SWEET ARE YOUR PROMISES TO MY TASTE,

Sweeter than honey to my mouth!

I gain Understanding from Your Precepts;

Therefore I Hate every Wrong Path.

YOUR WORD IS A LAMP TO MY FEET AND A LIGHT FOR MY PATH.

I have taken an Oath and Confirm it,

That I will follow Your Righteous Laws.

I HAVE SUFFERED MUCH; RENEW MY LIFE, O LORD,

According to Your Word.

Accept, O Lord, the willing praise of my mouth,

And Teach me Your Laws.

I will not Forget Your Law.

The Wicked have set a Snare for me,

But I have not Strayed from Your Precepts.

Your Statutes are my Heritage FOREVER;

They are the Joy of my heart.

MY HEART IS SET ON KEEPING YOUR DECREES TO THE VERY END.

The heart-set of the Psalmist is the Path to SALVATION;

There is No Other Path!

This Path is THE ONE SURE THING!

Christ Jesus warned us all:

Be always on the Watch,

And pray that you will be able to Escape All that is about to happen,

And that you may be able TO STAND before the Son of Man.

(Luke 21:36)

Today, the World is raging against God, rushing toward Oblivion. (Psalm 2)

This World in it's present form is passing away. (1 Corinthians 7:31)

America is being ground to powder because of her SIN against God.

Save yourself from this Corrupt Generation! (Acts 2:40)

Father, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as in Heaven!
