Washington (CNN)Donald Trump said Friday that a phone call he had with former President Bill Clinton had no bearing on his decision to seek the White House, despite coming several weeks before he kicked off his bid.

“My mind was already totally made up. I was already running, essentially,” Trump told CNN’s Don Lemon on “CNN Tonight,” saying Clinton would have no interest in a Trump run because the magnate was “Hillary’s worst nightmare.”

“We didn’t really discuss it,” Trump said.
