BREAKING: Chuck Norris Makes Public Move to Take on Race Baiters HEAD ON [PHOTOS]
Famous martial artist, actor and screenwriter Chuck Norris isn’t one to shy away from making his conservative attitudes public knowledge. So it wasn’t surprising to see him at the “All Lives Matter” march on Saturday inBirmingham, Alabama.
Led by conservative talk-show host Glenn Beck, the march comprised people of all races and nationalities who chose to walk along the historic civil rights route from the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church, a historical site for the civil rights movement, to Birmingham City Hall. From there, the march proceeded to the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex where Beck held a “Restoring Unity” rally.
“It’s about taking our church out in the streets,” Beck said. He added that marchers came from as far away as China, Dubai and the Netherlands.
Norris could be seen two rows behind Beck, and he wasn’t the only famous personality in the march. Also participating were Rafael Cruz, father of Republican presidential candidate and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz; Dr. Alveda King, niece of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.; and Jon Voight, the Oscar-award winning actor.
Plans were for Norris and Voight to share the stage at the rally, but Norris’ wife became ill so the couple left shortly before the rally.
The march was part of a campaign by Beck called “Never Again Is Now,” which aims to raise awareness and funds to aid Christians being persecuted in the Middle East.
Norris and many others wore orange T-shirts with the campaign theme “Never Again Is Now” emblazoned on the front. Others held signs that read, “Justice” or “All Lives Matter,” or just a picture of Abraham Lincoln.
Birmingham police have stated that the crowd may have numbered as high as 30,000. This would make it the largest march in Birmingham since the days of the civil rights movement nearly a half century ago (H/TAL.com).
Norris, Voight and others made the choice to publicly take on the race baiters and show their support for the cross-section of humanity who peacefully took to the Birmingham streets. They demonstrated for a unity that can start to heal the wounds caused by divisive race-baiters and politicians.
