Sen Ron Johnson – Obama Claims Americans Would Panic If We Were Told The Truth, Wants Us Ignorant
Rick Wells - 4/14/15 - UFP News
Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson validated what most Americans already know about the Democrat level of commitment to the concept of political transparency and informing the American people.
They are completely opposed to acknowledging their actions or our situation, and defend their obscurity by professing that we simply “can’t handle the truth.”
Johnson references two campaign pledges he says he has kept, that he would always tell the truth to the best of his ability and also to never vote or conduct himself during a reelection period any differently than he did when his seat wasn’t in contention.
To illustrate the point of the value he places upon integrity, Johnson tells the story of a meeting in the White House he attended as part of a small group of Republicans on the topic of the projected deficit.
The Senate thirty year deficit projections were estimated at $107 trillion over the next ten year period. He notes that a Congressional Budget Office version was even higher at $126 trillion.
He relates how Obama claimed to want everything on the table on both the expense and revenue side of the ledger. Johnson describes his conversation with Obama, urging him to show the numbers to the American people, saying, “Take to the American people the truth. Show them the depth of the problem so we can collectively admit we have the problem.”
He described the Obama reply as, “Ron, we can’t show the American public numbers that big. If we do we’ll scare em.” Obama added, “Besides Ron, we can’t do all the work. We have to leave something for future presidents, future Congresses.”
Johnson characterizes it as a bi-partisan problem of a government filled with “reality deniers.” He says, “If you really want to sum up the problem with liberalism in general is they deny reality. They deny the reality of basic human behavior, describing how there are many well-intentioned programs that have destroyed the American family.”
He also notes that the reason that Gen Michael Flynn resigned as director of the Defense Intelligence Agency was due to a refusal of the Obama regime to pursue or develop the information obtained in the Osama Bin Laden raid because it failed to mesh with the official White House spin that the war on terror was being won.
Johnson details two instances, one of domestic policy and one of foreign policy where the American people are being lied to by this regime. It might be easier to come up with a list of when we weren’t being lied to. It would certainly require much less writing.
