BOOM: Franklin Graham INFURIATES Muslims With Blunt FB Post About “Allah”

Franklin Graham has always been a strident opponent of radical Islam, and if you think he’s going to back down, it seems the reverend is just getting warmed up.

Graham took to Facebook to share a message with radical Islamists who would do violence in the name of Allah: “Our God does not need to be defended.”

The controversial post, which had over 100,000 likes, discussed the recent attack in Paris and why Christians and Muslims had such divergent reactions to humor directed at their religions.

“Why do followers of Islam and Christianity react so differently to the public ridicule and mocking of their respective faiths?” Graham asked. “Christianity has been repeatedly lampooned by Charlie Hebdo, but there have been no riots, assassinations or murderous threats.

“Here is what I believe is the fundamental distinction: Christianity has a Savior who has been beaten and battered,” he explained. “A Savior who endured the public ridicule and mockery of crowds as He was stripped and hung on a Roman cross for our sins. A Savior who was betrayed and spat upon and who endured shame and derision so that we might be redeemed.”

And then, Rev. Graham lowered the theological boom.

“Our God does not need to be defended. He is holy, all-powerful and eternal. He needs no man to protect His honor. He is the sovereign of the universe who does whatever He pleases, and whose counsel and purpose can never be thwarted,” Graham wrote.

“He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Creator, Sustainer and End of all things. He will have the last word on the Day of Judgment when all men will bow before Him,” he concluded (H/T Truth Revolt).

Graham hit upon one key difference between Judeo-Christianity and radical Islam: a trust in a savior that can set all things right.

While radical Islamists see their willingness to go to war for Allah as a strength, it actually proves their weakness of faith. They see him as someone who needs corporeal interference — usually of the violent sort — to achieve his supernatural goals.

Judeo-Christianity has no such illusions. While we obviously defend ourselves and our country from those who would do us harm, we do not seek to terrorize or brutalize those who disagree with us theologically. We believe in a sovereign Lord through whose grace all righteousness shall come to pass — with or without our “help.”
