Arabs Respond to Netanyahu’s Speech… Completely Stun Obama
Although many may view the following sentence as the grandest understatement of all time, here it is nonetheless: Israel is not the most popular nation in the Middle East.
That being said, the Arab world actually expressed quite a bit of support for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after his highly publicized address to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday.
Speaking in opposition to Iran’s nuclear program, Netanyahu proclaimed, “Even if Israel has to stand alone, Israel will stand.”
But Tzvi Yechezkieli, an Arab affairs expert for an Israeli TV station, which aired the entire speech, albeit on a delay to guard against political “electioneering,” said that many Arabs were in agreement with the substance of Netanyahu’s remarks.
Even a commentator for Al-Arabiya TV said that he probably could have written most of the speech himself.
Yechezkieli said that most of the Arab countries have become convinced that President Barack Obama is not concerned with their safety and security with regard to the secret deal being negotiated with the Iranian regime.
Faisal Abbas, editor-in-chief of the English version of Al-Arabiya, wrote an op-ed entitled, “President Obama, listen to Netanyahu on Iran.”
Abbas wrote, “In just a few words, Mr. Netanyahu managed to accurately summarize a clear and present danger, not just to Israel (which obviously is his concern), but to other U.S. allies in the region.”
But perhaps the strongest support for Netanyahu, along with the harshest criticism of Obama, came from the Saudi paper Al-Jazirah, which published a hard-hitting piece by Dr. Ahmad Al-Faraj, according to Western Journalism.
“Since Obama is the godfather of the prefabricated revolutions in the Arab world, and since he is the ally of political Islam, (which is) the caring mother of (all) the terrorist organizations, and since he is working to sign an agreement with Iran that will come at the expense of the U.S.’s longtime allies in the Gulf, I am very glad of Netanyahu’s firm stance and (his decision) to speak against the nuclear agreement at the American Congress despite the Obama administration’s anger and fury,” Al-Faraj wrote.
Dr. Al-Faraj continued, “I believe that Netanyahu’s conduct will serve our interests, the people of the Gulf, much more than the foolish behavior of one of the worst American presidents. Do you agree with me?”
The speech was reportedly even broadcast in part in Iran, at least until Netanyahu began to become critical of the Iranian regime.
This reaction is stunning, and certainly not what anyone would expect, as Israel is roundly hated by virtually all corners of the Arab and Muslim world.
However, the Arabs have lived next to a nuclear-armed Israel for decades with no issues. They fear that the same cannot be said for Iran, should it acquire the nuclear weapons it has long sought.
Something is seriously wrong when the pundits and commentators of the Arab world accept Israel and Netanyahu’s word over that of America and Obama.
That should tell us something about this deal that Obama and Valerie Jarrett are working out in secret with the Iranians.
My comments: The Sunnis hate the Shiites as much as they hate the Infidels and visa -versa, Arab against Arab. So the Saudi Arabian, Sunnis, fear the Iranian Shiites. The know what Iran would do with a Nuclear Weapon.
