URGENT: US General Drops Bombshell… Obama Will Be Furious [VIDEO]
Monday, January 5th, 2015
Although it’s only been a few months since President Barack Obama learned — one would hope — that his premature withdrawal of U.S. military forces from Iraq has had disastrous consequences, he’s put himself right into the same situation in Afghanistan.
Retired Lt. Gen. Daniel Bolger, who served in both Iraq and Afghanistan, told Newsmax TV’s “MidPoint” guest host Ric Blackwell on Wednesday that it would appear that Obama did not learn anything from Iraq and the subsequent rise of the Islamic State group at all.
In Afghanistan, the U.S. is leaving a military presence of about 10,000 troops today, which will drop by about half by the end of 2015 according to the president’s announced plans. U.S. combat operations ended last week.
As the U.S. presence falls, the Taliban “will fill every gap that we leave on the battlefield,” Bolger told Blackwell.
Obama may consider the American mission in Afghanistan accomplished, but “nobody’s clued the Taliban into this,” Bolger said.
“They’re in effective control of large parts of eastern and southern Afghanistan today, so I don’t know about that draw-down,” said the general and author of “Why We Lost: A General’s Inside Account of the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars.”
“To me it seems ill-considered, and I hope that our administration or our military will rethink it in light of what’s happened in Iraq,” he added. “We should’ve learned a lesson as to what happens if you pull out the bulk of your forces: The enemy will fill that gap.”

The general is correct: the Obama administration “should’ve learned a lesson” from Iraq. But it’s almost certain that they have not.
Liberals don’t often study history, as it is replete with examples of failed liberal policies.
Disheartening stuff for those on the left.
