Iran’s military command again threatened Israel and continues to work overtly and covertly to destroy the Jewish state.
Iran’s top military brass continued to voice threats against Israel in the wake of an attack on a convoy carrying Hezbollah terrorists and an Iranian general reportedly carried out by the Israel Air force (IAF) in the Golan Heights last Sunday.
Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) in Iran Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari threatened Israel again on Tuesday and stated that the “Zionist regime is reaching the end of the rope, and liberation of the holy Quds [Jerusalem] is impending,” theIslamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reports. “The Quds occupying regime is making its last moves and it knows that it is nearing its end,” he added. The IRGC commander made the remarks while addressing a ceremony in Tehran to commemorate the Hezbollah terrorists and Iranian soldiers killed in an attack.
Israel is ‘Easily Conquerable’
Similarly, the Commander of Iran’s Basij (volunteer) Force Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naqdi boasted that freeing of Israel “from the occupation of the Zionist regime” is an easy task for Iran, theIranian Fars News Agency reports.
“Certainly, freedom of Haifa and Tel Aviv is much easier for us than the 33-day [First Lebanon War in 1982] and 22-day wars [Second Lebanon War in 2006], since the Zionist army’s doctrine is based on an offensive strategy and it has spent 60 years of its despicable and evil life with this doctrine,” Naqdi said on Tuesday evening, on the sidelines of the commemorate ceremony.
“The Zionist army is familiar with this doctrine and knows well that it is much weaker in defense than offence; the Zionist army has so far failed 4 times in its invasions, and it will certainly have more humiliating defeats and failures in defense,” he claimed. Naqdi somehow neglected the fact that the majority of the IDF’s and Israel’s wars have been the warding off of invading Arab armies.
Asked by reporters about Iran’s promise to arm the Palestinian terrorists operating out of Judea and Samaria, Naqdi said, “Thanks God, they (the Palestinians) are growing more integrated each day” and more details will be revealed in due time.
On Monday, Naqdi underscored that last week’s reported IAF attack justified “striking painful blows at the Zionist regime.”
“Martyrdom of Allahdadi meant an order to set the holy Quds [Jerusalem] free and a permission for giving a proper response to the Zionist regime,” Naqdi threatened in Tehran.
Naqdi warned Israel that they would soon be forced to leave their country, claiming “they will not experience tranquility, these bloods will not remain without a response and they should remain fully alerted until complete annihilation of the Zionist regime.”
Hezbollah, Iran’s proxy in Lebanon, did in fact attack Israel on Wednesday in an incident that claimed the lives of two IDF soldiers and left seven wounded.
Israel still remains on high alert on its northern border in anticipation of further possible attacks by Iran, through Hezbollah in Lebanon.
