Former CBS Reporter Throws Curtain Back on Liberal Media
This past week has been a bad one for those idiots who continue to claim there is no liberal bias in the mainstream media. First there was a report showing that 25 of the top 32 online news sites had a leftward bent to their reporting. Then there was the scandalous revelation that ABC, CBS, and NBC had drastically cut their midterm election coverage when compared to 2006 – a clear sign that a Republican-favored election was not in their interests.
Now comes a new book from former CBS reporter Sharyl Attkisson which promises to shed insider light on the nature of the liberal media for the first time. Stonewalled: My Fight for Truth Against the Forces of Obstruction, Intimidation, and Harassment in Obama’s Washington blows the lid off the myth that “liberal bias” is all in the eye of the beholder. Attkission, who claims to be “politically agnostic” has a bone to pick with her former bosses at CBS and the notoriously secretive Obama administration.
Attkisson’s attacks aren’t limited to liberal darlings. She also claims that advertising pressures have forced the TV news business to shy away from controversial stories about the pharmaceutical industry and automobile manufacturers.
She is also quick to dismiss the common argument that a “liberal media” would take a battalion of hundreds of thousands of reporters, all of them with the same political orientation. It isn’t the reporters, she says, but the bigwigs in the corporate offices that make the decisions about which stories are pursued. “We’re asked to create a reality that fits their New York image of what they believe.”
Her claims are disheartening if you still have any faith left in the mainstream news business. She talks of a former boss she had who insisted that conservative analysts be identified as such, even though the same principle did not apply to liberal analysts. According to Attkission, this unidentified woman would change “conservative” to “right-wing” if the substance of their comments irritated her.
She points out that “Benghazi” and “Fast and Furious” have been successfully relegated to the nutter-pile along with the birther movement, even in the face of overwhelming evidence that these were serious, troubling scandals. That evidence rarely made the nightly news broadcasts, however, because the brass was dutifully taking orders from the White House. Instead, these stories – when not killed altogether – were played on the Web instead of on TV.
Attkisson’s accusations are primarily limited to CBS, though it doesn’t take a genius to understand that the same things are happening at ABC and NBC. And this is a problem, for reasons that should be obvious. There is no way to have an informed, thoughtful citizenry when our primary news outlets are run by people whose liberal agenda comes before the facts.
That our elections are still close after years of this biased reporting only goes to show that Americans trust their instincts and core values over the media. For that, I thank God, but I do wonder how much longer it will last. When liberals stealthily mix their poisonous philosophy into movies, TV shows, news stories, and school curricula, how much longer can conservatism hold up?

My comments: The "Liberals" are all godless, Secular Humanists. It is their RELIGION! And they stick together on their "DOCTRINE."
