BREAKING: Movement Launched to Force the Resignation of NY’s Socialist Mayor
New York Mayor Bill de Blasio has been one of the most controversial figures in the Democratic Party since his election to Gracie Mansion a year ago. The fact that he’s an unapologetic socialist has a lot to do with it, but it’s not the only issue.
Now, after the tragic deaths of two New York City police officers, New Yorkers are calling on Mayor de Blasio to resign. A petition designed to force the mayor to do just that is gaining a startling amount of support.
De Blasio is one of the chief hawkers of empty “social justice” rhetoric in a city that that’s home to men like Al Sharpton and David Dinkins. To that end, he was a vocal critic of the grand jury decision that cleared the officer in the Eric Garner case.
Unfortunately, the undirected anger from uninformed protesters finally boiled over into the horrendous tragedy we witnessed this weekend, in which Ismaaiyl Abdullah Brinsley killed two New York City police officers, Wenjian Liu and Raphael Ramos.
Now, 56,000 people have signed a petition to force the mayor to resign because of his culpability in the deaths of officers Liu and Ramos, amongst other issues. (H/T Fox and Friends.)
In the wake of the shooting Mayor de Blasio gave a press conference in which he tried to sound sincere about sympathizing with the men in blue.
Unfortunately, scant few police officers heard it, because they turned their backs on the socialist mayor and headed toward the exit en masse.
De Blasio has also been banned from the funerals of some fallen New York police officers, after his very public stance in support of the protesters in the Eric Garner case.
The Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association, which represents New York City police officers, also recently distributed a flier with the headline “Don’t let him insult your sacrifice!”
Keep in mind those last two happened before the race-baiting chickens came home to roost this weekend with the murder of officers Liu and Ramos. If he thought things were bad before…
Let’s hope we get millions more signatures for this petition, so we can get the race-baiting Bill de Blasio out of Gracie Mansion for good.
