Do you recall what the Republican excuse was in 2009 for not stopping Obamacare?
The Democrats had control of the House of Representatives.
So, in the 2010 election, Americans gave Republicans control of the House.
Do you remember what the excuse was in 2011-2013 for business as usual and for giving Barack Obama carte blanch on spending bills that would run up the deficit to record levels?
The Democrats had control of the Senate.
So, in the 2014 election, Americans gave Republicans control of the Senate.
Do you recall what the excuse was in 2015-2016 for the lack of opposition to anything and everything Obama wanted to do for those years?
The Democrats had control of the White House.
So, in the 2016 election, Americans gave Republicans control of the White House, while maintaining control of the House and Senate.
And now, what excuse are Republicans using for not being able to institute the policies they have been promising the American people for all these years?
While the Republicans have majority control in the House and Senate, they don’t control 60 votes in the Senate.
Do you feel like you’re being conned?
That’s because you are.
The fact of the matter is that many, if not most, Republicans in the House and the Senate don’t really want to change the direction of government in Washington.
They don’t really want to drain the swamp. They don’t really want to do a 180-degree policy shift from the Obama years. In fact, they are perfectly comfortable running this racket on the American people for as long as they can get away with it.
It’s time for all Republican voters to ask the question Rush Limbaugh asked last week of Vice President Mike Pence: “What is the point of voting Republican?”
Put another way, what hope do we have of changing the political culture in Washington, preserving constitutionally limited government and preventing tyranny in America with a two-party system that operates more like a one-party dictatorship?
Expose the ruse, just like Limbaugh did.
- Hold the phony Republicans accountable. Humiliate them. Don’t let them get away with their charade anymore.
- Challenge the phony Republican congressional incumbents in primaries in 2018.
The answer is simpler than you think.
Maybe you ask: “Well, how do we know the phonies from the real things?”
Here’s a litmus test for you: In the House, who voted for House Speaker John Boehner and his pretty boy successor, Paul Ryan? In the Senate, who voted for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell?
Ryan and McConnell are not part of the solution in Washington. They are very much part of the problem – a BIG part.
The Democrats in the House and Senate may be certifiably insane. They may be 100 percent corrupt. They are without question morally bankrupt.
But Ryan and McConnell and their supporters in the House and Senate don’t see it that way at all. They get money from the same fat-cat sources as Democrats, including the truly evil George Soros! They are more interested in padding their own pocketbooks and campaign war chests than they are in the rule of law and the will of the people.
They’re watching out for themselves, not you – not the American people nor the Constitution.
In other words, in a two-party system, if you don’t have even one party sworn to the Constitution and true representative government, there’s very little chance of sustaining either.
That’s why so many of us voted excitedly for Donald Trump in 2016.
He promised to turn over the tables of the money changers in the Temple of Washington. While he has certainly been a breath of fresh air after eight years of Obama and eight years of Bush and eight years of Clinton, the money changers are still in charge of the Temple.
How do we change this?
- It starts with awareness of all the of above;
- It is followed with a vigilant and determined grass-roots movement that is willing to take to the streets;
- It ends with challenges not just to Democrats in 2018, but to their enablers in the Republican Party – people like Ryan and McConnell and those who align themselves with them.
My comments: Ask yourself, what part of America is Not Corrupt? It is Entirely Corrupt except for those who are Truly living In and For Christ Jesus.
