Mormon Church To Pull Thousands Of Teens From Boy Scouts Of America

Older teenagers will be pulled from the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), the Mormon church announced Thursday. It means an estimated 150,000 teenagers ages 14-18 will no longer participate in Boy Scouts starting next year.
The Boy Scouts' "Varsity" and "Venturing" programs for older teens had become difficult to implement within the religion, Mormon officials said in a press release. The church will instead create its own youth programs for teenage boys.
For the timebeing it will still enroll 8- to 13-year-old boys in the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts.
In the past, the church expressed dissatisfaction with the Scouts' growing acceptance of LGBT leaders. But officials stated the decision wasn't triggered by Boy Scouts policy change in 2015 to allow gay troop leaders since Mormon troops were allowed to run their groups to adhere to church teachings.
The Mormon church is the largest sponsor of Boy Scouts troops in the United States.

The Washington Post reports church spokesman Eric Hawkins said no leaders of the church would discuss the decision with a reporter. But he said that leaving Varsity and Venturing could offer the church a chance to test its own youth programming.

My comments: Praise God. The Boy Scouts have gone off the Rail in allowing the infiltration of Homosexuality.
