It Is Finished!

When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. John 19:30 ESV

Jesus one sacrifice, for all sin, for all time, went far beyond just paying our sin debt in full.

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. Rom 10:4 ESV

 
For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Cor 5:21 ESV

And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. 1 Cor 6:11 ESV

In whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Col 1:14 ESV

For Sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace. Rom 6:14 ESV

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Rom 8:1 ESV

 
More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation. Rom 5:11 ESV

For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified. Heb 10:14 NASB

IN HIM you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority; Col 2:10 ESV

 
So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God. Gal 4:7

For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more.” Heb 8:12 ESV

Giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. Col 1:12 ESV

Jesus completely finished the work on the cross. 

He paid our sin debt in full. 

He qualified us, forgave our sins, sanctified us, perfected us and made us an heir with Him.
