| Unplowed Ground Sow for yourselves righteousness, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the Lord, until He comes and showers righteousness on you. - Hose 10:12
I picture the plow going through the hardened soil, bringing up and exposing everything in it that you can't see from the surface - weeds, rocks, pieces of glass, whatever is buried underneath. And what was once hard and flat is now full and soft. That's what God wants us to do to our hearts. Loosen up all the junk in our lives and get rid of it: expose the lies that we believe about ourselves, expose the unbelief, bitterness, anger, insecurities, and anxieties. And once we do this, plow it all up and expose it, we can sow some good seed in the soil - righteousness.
FOR IT IS TIME to seek the Lord. It is time to move on, It is time to live differently, to live in the promises of God. Only God can make us righteous. We can live life sowing good and righteous things instead of evil. Seek the Lord with all of your heart, your newly plowed, softened heart. Don't give up seeking Him, and He promises to shower you with righteousness to help that seed grow and then you can reap the fruit of His unfailing love.
See you Sunday. Blessings,
