It’s not always easy to love others the way the father in heaven does.
With his help we can love the way he does, and forgive as he does. After all he loves us so much he gave his only begotten son to die for us so we can be free.
Salvation is the greatest gift of all if we will believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths that he is Lord.
Jesus will help us if we will call out to him.
We are all a work in progress we can be changed if we will allow him to change us.
TODAY’S VERSE
“So now you must show sincere love to each other as brothers and sisters. Love each other deeply with all your heart.” I Peter 1:22 (NLT)
TODAY’S THOUGHT
Love is the direct result of knowing Christ.
He loves us so much that loving others is a by product of His example.
He paid a terrible price that we could have our sins forgiven.
And what does God ask for in return?
Does he ask us to swim the ocean?
Walk across the longest desert?
Climb the highest mountain?
No, He asks that we love one another.
Why would this be so important?
Because our love for each other is a testimony of His love.
Our love for others proves His life changing power is real.
In John 13:35 Jesus said, “Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”
The power of the Holy Spirit alive in our heart is never more noticeable then when we are loving another person.
Do you know Christ as your personal Savior?
Is He the Lord of your life?
If so, prove it to the world by sincerely loving those people around you. Love them deeply with all your heart.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, thank You for Your love for me.
Thank You for Your grace and mercy in my life.
Help me love those others that you have around me.
Might my sincere love for others permeate my life so that others might recognize that You are alive.
In Jesus’ name. AMEN
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
Because of Christ, I am free to lover others
Love is a verb. It is action.
Today you can begin to love others by asking God to help you “pre” love them.
Ask God to bring to your mind some people you are having a hard time loving.
Picture them.
Ask God to show you what has impeded you from loving them.
Listen for His instructions and He will show you what to do.
Let God work in your mind and heart as you picture yourself taking corrective action.
Next invite Jesus to come and help you love the person.
Visualize yourself, with the help of Jesus, act lovingly toward the person.
Feel yourself let go and be filled with the love of God.
Sense His love flow through you to the other person.
See them respond toward your love with gratitude.
Enjoy the moment and affirm that with Christ, you are free to love others.
