Thank the Lord for He is good, His steadfast love endures forever. Psalm 118:1
Forgive me Father, for being ungrateful at times and focusing on the wrong things.
Help me to remember that an ungrateful heart only increases my struggle in this fallen world, leading to discontentment, anger, impatience, jealousy, envy, covetousness, grumbling, complaining and more.
Help me to remember that nothing good ever comes from an ungrateful heart.
Thank you, Father, for who you are and for sending Jesus to save me, for your steadfast love, abundant grace, eternal forgiveness and all the blessings you have placed in my life.
Thank you that you will never leave or forsake me and that I have eternal life with you and that you have made me an heir with Jesus. Thank you for the Word, the righteous new creation you have made me and a new heaven and earth, for my home and family that loves me and for my friends and all who pray for me.
Thank you for the money you have trusted me with, like my home, truck, clothing, food, clean water and more than I really need.
Thank you for every opportunity you give me to help others, to pray, encourage, bless and share Christ.
Help me to notice and be thankful for all the blessings in my life, the big and especially the small, like a hot cup of coffee, a beautiful flower, a brilliant sunrise, heating and cooling, a comfortable bed and a faithful pet.
Help me to maintain a grateful heart in all circumstances, for who You are and what You have done for me, for your mercy, grace and forgiveness.
Help me to always remember your steadfast love for me.
Thank you, Jesus, for your faithfulness, even when I am unfaithful.
I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength. Phil 4:11-13 ESV
Thankfulness leads to contentment, leading to His peace and so much more.
