Friend,
Ethiopia ranks near last in every measure of the World Health Organization’s analysis of global health care systems.
Of 194 WHO member nations, Ethiopia ranks 180 in overall health system performance, according to the WHO data.
Other data from sources as disparate as Brittanica, UNICEF, and even the U.S. State Department and Central Intelligence Agency paint an even more vivid picture of severely flawed Ethiopian health care.
- One in 20 children born in Ethiopia will not live past 5 years old — a number, according to Brittanica, which is nearly double the world average and more than eight times higher than the U.S. child mortality rate.
- Sixty-five percent of Ethiopian girls are forced to undergo “Female Genital Mutilation” (FGM), a barbaric practice of partial or total removal of the female external genitalia with no anesthesia or topical anesthetic.
- The average life expectancy of the average Ethiopian is under 65 years of age.
- Leading causes of death among all ages are bronchitis and diarrhea, both of which are highly treatable in western countries.
Given these appalling statistics, few if any would want the Ethiopian health minister making their health care decisions.
But Joe Biden is working to put the entirety of U.S. health care under Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Ethiopia’s former health minister who is now the WHO director-general.
Dr. Sylvia Behrendt holds a Ph.D. in International Health Regulations and served as the legal consultant to the WHO’s International Health Regulations secretariat.
Now the director of the Global Health Responsibility Agency of Salzburg, Austria, Dr. Behrendt is sounding an alarm about the amount of power about to be transferred to the man who ruled Ethiopia’s deficient health care system.
According to Behrendt, the proposed amendments to the IHR change the organization’s charter as an advisory body to a legislative body whose directives will be enforceable under international law.
This change, says Dr. Behrendt, will give the WHO legislative powers that “no other UN organ or specialized UN agency has, let alone the DG (Director General) [director-general] of one of these specialized agencies.”
In fact, Dr. Behrendt’s analysis shows that the amendments give WHO Director-General Tedros almost dictatorial powers, unrestrained by member nations’ concerns.
Joe Biden is following the path of George W. Bush (who unilaterally signed America onto the WHO’s revised IHR) and Barack Obama (who unilaterally signed America onto the Paris [Climate] Agreement).
When Donald Trump began the process to take America out of the Paris Agreement, Joe Biden, on January 20, 2020, unilaterally bound America once again with the stroke of a pen.
Don’t let Joe Biden put Gen. Tedros in charge of YOUR health care.
“The proposed amendments to the IHR will, if adopted, considerably increase the WHO’s health emergency and bio-surveillance powers, in particular those of its DG,” says Dr. Behrendt.
For instance, the proposed IHR amendments give the director-general new powers to declare “intermediate public health alerts,” seizing power and issuing dictates.
The amendments also “extend the list of events” that the director-general can use to declare a public health emergency.
However, Dr. Behrendt notes, the IHR amendments give no details or guidelines on how the severity of an issue is assessed, or when that issue or event can be deemed to be resolved.
Instead, the director-general seems to be able to issue decrees at will, including:
- COVID-style shutdowns on parts or all the U.S.
- Dictate which medicines Americans will be allowed to take.
- Dictate which medicines Americans will be forced to take.
- Dictate if, when, and how Americans are allowed to travel.
- Force transgender and LGBTQ ideology in classrooms and in hospitals.
- Declare extreme abortion policies.
- Enforce Bill Gates’ climate agenda.
- Eliminate our civil rights and sovereignty.
- And much, much more.
We simply cannot risk turning America’s health care system over to the leader of a Third World health care system so broken and mismanaged that the average life expectancy is more than a decade less than in the U.S. or where people still die of bronchitis and diarrhea.
But unless Congress steps in NOW to stop Joe Biden from signing the WHO’s Pandemic Treaty or the IHR amendments, the unelected, unaccountable, Third World health minister, Tedros, will effectively be our new health czar.
