THE HOUSE WILL VOTE ON THE SO CALLED, "RESPECT FOR MARRIAGE ACT" TONIGHT

 

The House Rules Committee will meet to vote TONIGHT on HR 8404—the bill that enables pedophile “marriages” to children and codifies same-sex marriage, even as it SHOWS DISDAIN to religious freedom. Soon-to-be-replaced House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is in a hurry to pass this bill before she must pass her gavel to the incoming House Republican Speaker.  She has announced plans to bring this measure to a full House floor vote tomorrow. YOUR faxes forced the Senate to close the polygamy loophole from the list of horrors this bill would force on all Americans.  However, the bill STILL contains measures allowing pedophile and same-sex “marriages.”  Even worse, this bill sets a precedent that will UNDERMINE religious liberty for all but a very few. Help us protect children and families, as well as protect your own religious freedom.  Please, fax the House NOW. Demand they VOTE NO on HR 8404! Then read on. — Mat

HR 8404’s supposed “religious freedom” amendment ONLY protects employees actively working for a religious organization “whose principal purpose is the study, practice, or advancement of religion.” 

In other words, under HR 8404, unless you work for a church, YOU will not retain your right to religious freedom or expression.

Most nonprofits will not qualify. 

For-profits owned and operated by Christians or people of faith will not qualify—even if their “principal purpose is the study, practice, or advancement of religion.”

The baker, florist, wedding coordinator, artist, printer or website designer are targets. 

Children in schools and teachers are also targets. 

Elected officials are targets.

You are a target! 

And every attempt to fix this was blocked in the Senate when three religious liberty amendments were rejected.

This bill seeks to ENFORCE YOUR SILENCE using the Department of Justice (DOJ) and private multimillion-dollar lawsuits to ENSURE YOU STAY SILENT ABOUT YOUR FAITH.
 

Don’t let the House steal OUR religious liberty!

HR 8404 specifically charges the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) to investigate and prosecute anyone who is accused of not honoring, accepting or participating in the “unions” outlined in this bill.

Section 4 (b) says: “The Attorney General may bring a civil action in the appropriate United States district court against any person who violates subsection (a) … ”

Section 4 (c) authorizes “Any person who is harmed by a violation of subsection (a) may bring a civil action ... ”

STOP the assault on Christians and children!

This is a problem for ANY sane-minded person who would oppose the horror of grown adults marrying elementary-age children. 

But more significantly, the revocation of religious freedom in this instance WILL create a legal precedent for religious freedom to be threatened in OTHER SITUATIONS.

In other words, if HR 8404 passes, then the policy it establishes is that of a cramped religious ghetto—offering religious liberty crumbs to a few. This is a dangerous precedent.

Our Constitution affords religious freedom to ALL people, not just those who work for a church! Don’t let Congress take it away!

We cannot allow members of the House and the LGBTQ political lobby to rob Americans of our freedom of religion.

Neither can we allow the paraphiliacs covered under the “Q” in LGBTQ to win the right to “marry” children.

As a result of our messaging, there is now movement in the House to close the pedophile-child bride abuse issue. 

But the Senate refused this amendment. 

We must make sure the House hears from you. Tell them:

• STOP REFUSING to protect children from pedophiles.

• STOP REFUSING to protect our religious freedom.

• STOP REFUSING to protect traditional marriage.

We need to FLOOD the House with so many faxes that they have no option but to OBEY THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE. Send YOUR fax NOW.

Tell the Representatives:

• NO pedophile-child bride marriages!

• NO revocation of religious liberty!

• NO on HR 8404!
