Dear Friend, Last week, we witnessed an unprecedented and alarming step in modern political history when a sitting U.S. president went to primetime television and castigated his political opponents. Standing on the steps of historic Independence Hall, President Biden branded his opponents as "MAGA Republicans." With two Marines in their dress uniform standing behind him, President Biden declared that the opposing political party (essentially half of America) had no respect for the Constitution or the rule of law. He accused these Republicans of threatening freedoms like the right to vote, the right "to choose", the right to privacy, and the right to marry. Rather than address the border crisis, inflation, or the increasing threat from China, President Biden seems fixated on demonizing the half of America that does not support his radical agenda. Because we're opposed to radical policies like abortion-on-demand until the moment of birth and sexual indoctrination of young children in schools, he says we are against the Constitution. Nothing could be further from the truth. We must continue our efforts to expose bad policies and advance good legislation in these critical areas. We need your help to oppose this radical agenda and to get the truth out! The President is gaslighting America, claiming conservatives are engaged in the very activities that the Left has been fomenting; a distain for the Constitution, a rejection of the rule of law and the use of political violence to obtain their political goals. Perhaps the most ironic statement of all came when Biden declared that political violence must be rejected. And yet, in the summer of 2020, his party was nowhere to be found when the streets of America were on fire and cities were smoldering. As a Marine veteran, it disturbed me that President Biden used the two Marines behind him as props for his political speech, subtly communicating to America that he would use the U.S. military to back up his divisive rhetoric. I did, however, find one point on which I agreed with President Biden--we are indeed in a battle for the soul of this nation. The Left is going after the souls of our children and the next generation. It is targeting faith, family, and freedom. This should alert and awaken every Christian in this nation to the fact that there is a battle between good and evil. I hope every believer will take note of these words: pray, vote, and stand. Pray for God's deliverance. Stand for biblical truth. But Christians must also be registered, and we must be engaging in the public square and voting. This is just the latest in a series of desperate attempts to suppress conservative voter turnout this fall. We must not be intimidated by the President's name calling and sit out this election. Only a few races may decide control of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. And in a post-Roe America, governors and state legislatures have an unprecedented opportunity to advance pro-life legislation. Secretaries-of-state races will also be critical as many states address the issue of election integrity. And, of course, school board races will be crucial as we fight to protect our nation's children from the radical indoctrination that is flooding our public schools. So please, prayerfully consider what the Lord would have you give towards this critical effort. We must work to expose and stand against these radical policies, and we must educate and mobilize voters. It is truly a battle for the soul of our nation. Standing (Eph. 6:13),
