JESUS — What a mystery. In mercy and truth He put all of His glory aside and stepped into unimpressive skin. He walked through the crowds of His creation and none recognized the unwavering light in His eyes. He stood before the religious and they were offended by His friends, prostitutes, thieves, sinners and all of those in need of a Savior. It is still the same in our world today.
He came down into our mess and paid for it all. The Living, UNcreated GOD opened His flesh to receive all of the wickedness of the world. This is JUSTICE. He endured the punishment of SIN so that He could have authority to release us from it, IF we choose to believe that He is all He says He is.
He never withholds love from His creation. He reaches toward each one of us while shouting our names. He yells over our blindness, “Let there be light!” He shouts into our deafness to break walls of arrogance and then He gently whispers, “This is the way, now walk in it.”
He shatters the tower of Babel that we made in our daytime hours of toiling, and then He gives us Jacob’s ladder in the night while we are sleeping. The UNcreated God breaks the locks from our minds and opens freely the gates to HIS.
So while I sit in this secluded hut of my mind, I stretch my hands of faith to better grasp the UNcreated God. I embrace the fact that I will most likely fall face down and tremble when I finally see Him, but I somehow anticipate that the dread of that glorious day will also feel like a familiar friend.
