I Am a Child of God
Tricia Draper
“But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.” (John 1:12-13 NLT)
We’re all children of someone.
We had parents who gave us physical life, but it was God who actually formed us in our mother’s womb. The Bible says He knew us before we were even created and decided He would save all those who would believe on Him.
Even if we didn’t have good earthly parents, we always have a loving Heavenly Father.
God spent His time creating us.
God spent His time creating us.
He formed us in His image.
He loves us so much He chose to give us the right to make Him our choice.
Even though we’re all created by Him, we’re not able to be called “children of God” until we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior (Ephesians 2:8,9 NLT).
When we do that, we are choosing to become the children God made us to be.
God gets excited when we believe and choose Him as our Father.
God gets excited when we believe and choose Him as our Father.
It’s as if a lost child comes home.
When we accept His free gift of love and acceptance, we become God’s child.
We should rejoice knowing God has chosen us to be His very own.
He loves us more than anything in all creation.
This is the Father we all want to have.
Father, I thank You for choosing to accept me as Your child.
Father, I thank You for choosing to accept me as Your child.
I ask for forgiveness for all my mistakes.
I thank You for allowing me to be Your child.
By grace I’ll be the best child I can be for You.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
