THE US SENATE IS POISED TO VOTE ON HR 5 - 'EQUALITY ACT"

 

The U.S. Senate is poised to vote on HR 5, the misnamed "Equality Act," within days! Yesterday, Sen. Chuck Schumer met with 11 Democrats to begin the budget reconciliation process.    Meanwhile, public libraries are already pushing drag queen books for preschoolers. Sen. Chuck Schumer will try to sneak HR 5 alongside a budget reconciliation vote as early as next week to avoid the 60-vote filibuster rule.  

The Equality Act eliminates the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) as a claim or defense against the LGBTQ and abortion demands. 

This bill will force churches, schools, daycare centers and shelters (for battered and sexually abused women) to comply with LGBTQ demands.  

On another front, the Association for Library Service to Children released a booklist for its summer reading for kids "from birth to preschool" with titles like The Hips on the Drag Queen Go Swish, Swish, Swish and We Are Little Feminists. 

The Equality Act will provide the LGBTQ and abortion lobbies with the force of law to push their anti-family, anti-life and anti-God confusion. 

The expansive reach of LGBTQ demands will be imposed on everyone, allowing men in women's bathrooms, boys onto girls' sports teams and pedophiles into daycare centers. I know this sounds like an exaggeration, but it's not. 

Noncompliant religious and nonprofit schools will lose tax exemption, and schools will lose accreditation, which means they could not accept student loans and students would not be accepted into most graduate schools. The coverage of the bill includes church and college overnight stays with youth and/or students, dorms, sports, restrooms, locker rooms and showers.  

Churches, synagogues and mosques will be forced to violate their sincerely held religious beliefs with respect to LGBTQ behavior. 

The Senate version defines the "Q" in LGBTQ as "Queer," and this is where the Equality Act goes from being deeply disturbing to totally reprehensible. 

"Queer" includes not only lesbian, gay, bi, transsexual and transvestite behaviors, but also a host of "paraphilias," which includes 549 perversions.  

"Paraphilias" include every perverted proclivity and behavior—and specifically includes "minor-attracted individuals," aka pedophiles.  

The Equality Act will give all paraphilias—including pedophiles—the same legal protections as racial minorities.

The Equality Act forbids raising RFRA as a claim or defense. And this includes many other federal laws if this outrageous bill passes.  

The bill also bans counselors from providing and all ages of clients from receiving any counsel to change or diminish unwanted same-sex attractions, behaviors or gender confusion. 

The Equality Act is not about equality. If it were, houses of worship would not be targeted, and religious freedom would be protected. 

The bill is a massive expansion of the federal government into every corner of our lives. It will result in a torrent of harassing and frivolous lawsuits. HR 5 shreds the foundations of our country by codifying perversion into law.  

We can stop this in the Senate if we all respond now!
