The Democratic Party has gone completely mad – but here’s what you can do David Kupelian explains how to stop the deranged left from destroying America Dear friend of WND,   Every day brings new and even greater madness from Washington, D.C. Since the radicalized Democratic Party took total control of the federal government in January, Americans have endured a continual bombardment of perverse and suicidal executive orders, policies, and legislation unleashing havoc on every part of our society – from flooding our nation with illegal aliens, to hyper-inflating our currency by printing endless trillions of dollars, to criminalizing free speech and dissent, to actively recruiting transgenders into the American military – on and on. There’s much more that I won’t bother to list here. But if we take a few steps back and consider this growing chaos, a basic question desperately emerges: WHY has the “progressive” Left, including the Biden administration, the entire Democratic Party, Big Media, Big Tech, Big Education and Big Entertainment, seemingly gone stark, raving – one might even say, demonically – mad? In trying to somehow explain the Left’s growing craziness, conservative pundits typically cite factors like these: Trump Derangement Syndrome: Yes, Trump is out as president (for now), but they still loathe him and all those who side with him – and hate makes you think, say and do crazy and stupid things. Toxic ideology: Yes, the “woke” identity-politics ideology that consumes today's left is arrogant, contemptuous of history and religiously devoted to socialism. Emotional thinking: Yes, multiple peer-reviewed studies confirm that liberals think more emotionally while conservatives think more logically in arriving at policy ideas. Hatred of America: Yes, the same leftists who branded the 75 million Trump voters as racist and immoral tend also to feel the same way about their own nation, seeing America as a fundamentally racist, immoral country. Youth indoctrination: Yes, today’s colleges and universities are the most far-left, intolerant, totalitarian places in America. But there’s one factor that transcends all these, which perfectly explains today’s growing madness – and shows what happens when a society stubbornly rebels against the reality of God and His laws. Read the following few sentences slowly and thoughtfully, bearing in mind that this analysis, quoted from the Bible (Romans 1, where the Apostle Paul writes to new believers in Rome) is mocked by our society's elites, who regard it as hateful, bigoted, superstitious and dangerous: “The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. … “Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. “Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.” OK. Now think about Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Nancy Pelosi, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the rest of the “Jihad Squad,” and all the other brazenly dishonest politicians and media elites, as well as the irrational policies they espouse, as we replay a little of this in slow motion:  “God gave them over to a depraved mind. … They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity (releasing hordes of violent criminals from prison)… envy (socialism is ‘the gospel of envy,’ according to Winston Churchill), murder (abortion), deceit and malice (4 years of non-stop Trump-Russia collusion lies) … gossips, slanderers (news media), God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful … they invent ways of doing evil (‘Drag Queen Story Hour’ for toddlers) …” You get the idea. It’s an amazingly apt description of what we’re all now enduring. Toward the end of his life, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, the Russian dissident gulag survivor and author, explained in a simple but powerful way why atheistic communism destroyed tens of millions of innocent lives throughout the 20th century: "Men have forgotten God; that's why all this has happened." If we continually and egregiously rebel against God, eventually He releases us into true full-blown madness, as Romans 1 describes, and that’s exactly what we see in today’s Democratic Party and the Biden-Harris administration. And yet, WHY HAVE THEY NOT BEEN HELD TO ACCOUNT? The main culprit in all of this – largely responsible for the shameful downward transformation of America in our lifetime – is THE NEWS MEDIA, which today amounts to a gigantic hoax. While pretending to be “objective, professional journalists,” most “mainstream” news people are craven, unprincipled, lazy and self-seeking propagandists for the increasingly unhinged Democratic Party. They are exactly what Pravda was to the former Soviet Union. Our elite news establishment has fallen very far from the ideal Jefferson expressed in 1823, when he wrote to Lafayette: "The only security of all is in a free press." Since 1997, WND’s motto has been “A Free Press for a Free People.” What America is suffering from right now is a widespread lack of TRUTH.
