DEMOCRATS WANT TO GIVE THE DOJ COMPLETE JURISDICTION OVER ELECTIONS

 

Joe Biden and congressional Democrats are desperately trying to stop state-led election reform measures.  And they’re resorting to their former “Jim Crow” tactics to do it. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer could not get HR 1/S 1/S 2093 past the 60-vote filibuster, so Schumer cut a deal with Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) to bring even worse legislation to the floor. Sen. Joe Manchin is now getting behind a terrible bill known as the "John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act" (JL Act), renamed for the late John Lewis.

The JL Act's "preclearance" measure revokes state sovereignty, and instead puts Joe Biden's Department of Justice (DOJ) in charge of even the smallest local elections and the most minute details. 

Something as simple as moving a polling booth from Room A across the hall to Room B in the same building would need preapproval from Biden's DOJ.

Last week, the Biden DOJ filed suit against the recently passed Georgia election reform law to stop the voter ID requirement.

The Biden DOJ is filled with Deep State career employees, many of whom in the Voting Rights Division are ardent supporters of the ACLU, the Southern Poverty Law Center and La Raza—just to name a few radical organizations.

Under the JL Act, the DOJ will not need to file suit to undo election reform laws. 

The DOJ will be empowered to withhold approval, thus forcing states to sue the DOJ through costly and multiyear litigation.

The JL Act will systematically allow massive ballot harvesting in Democratic strongholds within a state or county to increase Democrat votes.

The JL Act will allow the Biden DOJ to implement everything evil in HR 1/S 1/S 2093—AND MUCH MORE! 

This bill will ensure that one party—the Democrat Party—dominates all future elections!

The Biden administration has a deeply invested interest in ensuring state-led election integrity measures are eliminated before the next election. It's our job to stop them.

The Republican Party was formed to abolish slavery. 

The party's first president, Abraham Lincoln, gave his life freeing the slaves.

For a decade after the Civil War, 47 black Americans were elected to Congress. All ran as Republicans.

Democrats had lost their stranglehold over the recently freed slaves. 

They did not like the wave of black Republicans entering Congress, any more than they liked the fact that these former slaves could now control their own destinies. 

Democrats concocted measures to negate growing Republican power. The Democrat Party was the party of the KKK. Democrats supported Plessy v. Ferguson, the racist "separate but equal" Supreme Court case.

House Democrats attempted to use arguments from the Supreme Court's terrible 1857 Dred Scott decision to prevent Hiram Rhoades Revels, the first black Republican in Congress, from taking office. 

Failing that ugly attempt, Democrats implemented an even uglier idea—election rigging, in the form of "Jim Crow" laws.

Democrats changed election laws in southern states designed with one singular purpose—to keep black Republicans out of office. 

Voter suppression in the forms of poll taxes and literacy tests were used to keep the poor and uneducated away from the polls. 

In areas where the vote could not be fully suppressed, other fraudulent election tactics like ballot box stuffing were used to further rob newly freed Americans of their vote.

The first Jim Crow laws went into effect in 1877. 

One by one, the black Republicans lost their congressional seats to the white Democrats who had disenfranchised their votes.

Now, 114 years later, Democrats are again trying to suppress the Republican vote with HR 1/S 1 and the JL Act.
