A Common Belief Among Leftists During Amy Coney Barrett's Supreme Court confirmation process, she was portrayed as a member of an anti-woman cult because of her mainstream Christian faith and values as a Roman Catholic. This is a common prejudice espoused by Leftists who think traditional Christianity oppresses and subjugates women—something made popular by such silly fiction as Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale.
