UNDERSTANDING FAITH THROUGH PRAYER
Robert Schaetzle
One morning during my quiet time, while listening to the Spirits prompting, I was reminded, 'we live not by things we do - but by faith in Jesus, who did it all for us.'
My thoughts became more attuned to God's leading, not my understanding.
In that moment, I again recognized the preeminence of God's authority over me.
Our Mediator, God's Holy Spirit, is always present to intercede for us, especially in our prayers, when God presented this grace awakening to me.
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with sighs too deep for words.
And he who searches the hearts of men knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. Romans 8:26-27 RSV
Our Faith Refreshed - Do you have anxiety, fear, worry, and doubt about the pandemic or concerns for the Spiritual enlightenment of loved ones, or questions about having enough needed resources?
Are you confused about how you should pray?
Look to our comforter, the Holy Spirit to intercede for you.
He intimately knows our hearts and the pain we feel.
He knows what we need most from our Father at that very moment, and His abiding presence is always there to intercede on our behalf.
Our heart's concerns are like an open book to God's Spirit that dwells in us.
We do not need to be formal or to try and explain things.
Long before our heart broke over the turmoil in this world, God's heart broke.
He understands the burdens we carry, and our faith will be refreshed as we are utterly transparent before our loving Father, trusting profoundly and letting go entirely.
Father, I lay myself and all that I am before you, refresh my faith anew.
Holy Spirit, you know exactly what I need from my Father at this very moment, intercede for me now and always.
Please help me to recognize the preeminence of your leading and forever walk in faith by your promptings. In Jesus name, AMEN
