A Life-Giving Promise

“no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and this is their vindication from me.
Isaiah 54: 17(NIV)
When the ungodly rise up against us, this promise keeps us steady.
When we are falsely accused, this promise proves our enemy wrong.
When the innocent suffer scathing, hurtful and backstabbing words this promise will vindicate us.
This promise is pure and true.
God has declared it and so that settles it.
Today, I need to believe and live out this promise.
Today, we all do.
Hearing, is not enough.
We need to let our belief in these words, produce a good result.
Let it form our actions and shape our lives.
Today, we can be assured that no weapon, cunningly crafted by our enemy, will prove too powerful over us.
No weapon will defeat us, regardless of that weapon. Whether it be guilt or condemnation, sickness or despair, depression or doubt, false accusations or fear, wherever Christ resides, there can be victory.
Because of His life in us, we will not be overcome by the destroyer who seeks to wreak havoc.
We can silence every voice of opposition against us.
We can walk calmly and confidently knowing that God’s favor is with us.
This promise means we are free from blame, or suspicion.
The enemy will be forever trying to reverse our position.
But because of His promise, we stand forgiven, liberated, released and free.
As His chosen children, let God’s life-giving words shape your world today.
