Tens of Thousands of Children
Hear Their Name Called | ||
Last year, 9-year-old Ruth sat among a dozen other children just outside her church in Myanmar and waited patiently to hear her name called. Once she heard it, she smiled with excitement. In that moment, Ruth became one of the tens of thousands of children who received a Christmas Care Pack. Thanks to people like you, more children like Ruth will receive a Christmas Care Pack than in any previous year. Ruth said she is grateful to the person who sponsored her pink backpack. “I am very happy with everything inside, but I like the raincoat best,” she said. “I am very happy for the Bible storybook, too, and I will be reading it. I am very thankful for the gifts. May the Lord bless everyone who gave us this. I pray that they will be able to help many others like us.”

Each year, The Voice of the Martyrs works through its global network to distribute special Christmas Care Packs to the children of persecuted Christians in hostile areas and restricted nations. These distributions continue even after Christmas and into the New Year. The packs include school supplies, personal hygiene products, a toy and a full-color illustrated children’s Bible in the appropriate language. For a majority of the children, it is the first Bible they’ve ever owned.
