Choose to Believe

We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. Rom 6:4 ESV

Do you know who you are as a believer? 

You are a child of God. 

You are not the same old creation. 

You are unique and a new creation in God's eyes. 

You are holy, set apart, a daughter or son of God by your new birth. 

He has put His Spirit in you, giving you a new life.

In reading Paul's letters, you will find out who you are in Christ. 

He uses the following words to describe believers: chosen, beloved, holy, saint, righteous, and special, to name a few. 

Please don't believe the lies that say you are not, no matter how long you have accepted and grown comfortable with them. 

Stop allowing your past to define you and remember that any statement or feeling that contradicts the Bible is a lie.

From now on, choose to walk by faith instead of sight. 

Choose to believe God for today, then for two days, and so on. 

Keep at it until your mind is renewed, and you are firmly established in your new identity in Christ. 

Dare to believe the truth and tell the opposing voices they are liars, even if it seems like you are pretending.

You are God's perfect workmanship in Christ. 

He has wiped out your past by the blood of His Son. 

In God's eyes, you are a completely new creation. 

He calls you holy, so feel free to act like it. 

Remember, we act like what you believe to be true.

Father in Heaven, open our eyes to see the truth, to see how You see us. 

Give us the courage to walk in that truth. Amen
