Living is Exercising Faith
Robert Schaetzle
Throughout our day, we are each given abundant opportunities to utilize the measure of faith given to us by God.
We reveal our faith for God and others through our actions.
Life happens when we walk by faith.
“For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.” Romans 12:3 NASB
I prepare each morning so that I am ready to exercise my faith.
Before rushing off, I start the day with prayer and by reading His promises, and then I dedicate my day to God.
This might appear too simple-minded to a lot of folks.
But since I’m called to represent God’s love, grace, and holiness, [1 Corinthians 3:16] my intention from the start of each day needs to be set for His honor, not mine.
Then as I go through my day, I recognize my ‘faith in action,’ as a testimony of God’s power and authority operating through me.
Accomplishing far beyond what human reasoning could do, I make sure to give Him all the glory.
The power of His presence has led me throughout most of my 40 years of public service.
I challenge each follower of Jesus, spend quality time with our Father each morning, and then dedicate your day to Him.
You’ll witness faith in action, measured out for you by God, as you walk in a greater abundance of His grace, and wisdom.
Father, open our hearts, our minds, and reveal your prompting each day.
Keep knocking at the door of our heart and let our desire be for your presence and authority.
Help us to exercise the faith You have given to us. AMEN
