THIS WOMAN IS INSANE AND LEADING 'HER BELIEVERS ' STRAIGHT TO 'HELL' !! IT IS TERRIBLE !! BEYOND WICKED !!
"They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate." --- Titus 1:16
The term 'reprobate' in the Greek, as it is used in this verse, is 'adokimos' which means to be 'castaway' or 'rejected.' This doesn't apply to unbelievers because they have never known the truth, but applies only to those who have a knowledge of God and His commandments and yet have chosen to deny Him anyway through the actions in their lives. Oprah knows God's plan of salvation as well as anyone and believes in God through her upbringiing in a Christian home but still insists that there are many paths to God and that Jesus isn't the only way (google it).
Romans 1:28 and 1:32 (make sure you read the verses in between these as well):
28 "And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;"
32 "Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them."
Reprobates have never known Jesus Christ as their own personal Lord and Savior. They believe in God just as the demons do (James 2:19) but never received God's free gift of salvation through His Son Jesus Christ. Even though they have known the ways of God, at least in their heads and even understood it all, they have chosen to deny Him anyway and follow after other gods. Sin has become an acceptable way of life for them and they find every way possible to justify it. One who is deemed a reprobate (corrupt, worthless) by God is rejected by Him and left to their own destructive ways. God will no longer send His Spirit to convict them of their sin ever again.
"For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them." --- 2 Peter 2:21
This isn't something we are to revel in and be happy about (regarding Oprah) but it's an opportunity for us each individually to turn to God and thank Him for what He has done in our own lives concerning our own salvation.
And if you are someone who has been presented the gospel of Jesus Christ and have understood it but rejected it anyway (as I did the first couple of times I heard it) then I would urge you to not reject it again. God will not always strive with you about it but will eventually withdraw His Spirit and you will never be given another chance.
I'm convinced that had I not received God's plan of salvation for me the third time I was presented with it in 1975 that I wouldn't have been given another opportunity to change my mind.
Praise the Lord that God poured out His Spirit on me that night in such a powerful way that I didn't even wait to be asked if I wanted to be saved or not....I just literally blurted out "I want to be saved!"
Unless the Holy Spirit draws us to God then we cannot be saved. We can't just decide to get saved today on our own because it's only through the work of the Holy Spirit that it can happen which is why you should never turn Him away. He may never give you another chance.
