The Left is pouring tens of millions of dollars into Texas to defeat Ted Cruz. But they are not just after his policies they are after his faith. He knows it but he refuses to be ashamed of Christ.
It is the Left that has turned this into a spiritual war. They claim they are contending for justice. But we already have justice. They claim they are fighting for equality. But we already have equality. They claim they are battling for prosperity. But we already have that too.
No, what they want is something darker. They oppose Christ. They dislike the Bible. They are comfortable with witches using witchcraft on Justice Kavanaugh. They can’t speak without using obscenities and vulgar references. Who always shows their hatred for America? Who is always looking to help the workers of other nations more than American workers. Jobs not mobs is not a slogan it is the unvarnished truth.
Ted Cruz is a brother in Christ who refuses to back down on his faith even when it means a firestorm from the Left. It is time for Christians to draw a line in the sand.
Right now, that line in the sand is being drawn by Senator Ted Cruz. He openly declares, “Faith and Christianity, will help restore the country to greatness.” The Texas senator and son of a Carrollton pastor is sticking to his Christian roots.
“For too long there has been a spirit of fear and timidity in Washington,” Cruz told The Dallas Morning News. “We should not be ashamed of Christ. We should be willing to speak the truth with a smile.”
Cruz believes the nation must return to its Judeo-Christian roots. “Pulling this country back from the cliff we’re facing will require us remembering who we are, rediscovering those values that built America in the first place,” he said.
His faith is not the wispy kind. He sees that a man of God takes care of his own. His conviction to build the wall does not contradict his faith in Christ. “One of the most important elements to dealing with the drug problem is finally securing the border,” he said.
Along with the wall, the U.S. senator from Texas would triple border patrols, establish an e-verify system for employers, develop a biometric entry-exit system for visas and enforce existing laws.
“We know how to do this,” he said. “The only thing that is missing is the political will.”
“As the voters get close to Election Day, they’re looking more at the records of the candidates,” Cruz told The News. “People are tired of being burned. … As the voters compare my record, there is a marked difference. I have been fiscal conservative, a social conservative, a national security conservative.
At every point on his campaign, Cruz asks voters to pray for him and the country, using one of Ronald Reagan’s favorite Bible verses, 2 Chronicles 7:14, as inspiration.
“If my people, which are called by my name, would humble themselves and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear their prayers and will forgive their sins and I will heal their land,” That says it all. Pray for Ted Cruz and if you can vote for him.
If we understand the times, we can see a golden age for America were righteousness is exalting us again. Let’s surround President Trump with strong Christian men like Ted Cruz. If we fail to stop the Left we are inviting untold misery. Never has the choice been clearer.
