NEW INSPIRATIONAL NETWORK FOR YOUNGER CHRISTIANS
Live program chat rollout set for November
How would you like to discuss your sermon – instead of just consuming it?
That’s what’s promised on AmboTV.com starting next month.
“The live programming rollout is scheduled for November with simultaneous back-to-back live sermons airing Saturdays and Sundays and featuring a lineup of high-profile partners such as Victory Church of Tulsa, OK, and the multi-site Fresh Life Church, led by pastor and best-selling author, Levi Lusko,” according to an announcement from Ambo.
What does Ambo mean?
In western architecture, it’s a pulpit with an elevated and enclosed platform from which the sermon is delivered during a service.
ABC chief legal analyst and Mediaite and Law & Crime TV founder Dan Abrams is behind the project which is said to be dedicated to “broadcasting Christian sermons with an in-studio discussion.”
Plans include quickly expanding to weekdays as well,” says the announcement. “The network will be hosted out of the newly built Abrams Media studios in Herald Square in New York City and viewers will be able engage with other viewers via a live-chat feature throughout the programs.”
Ambo will be led by Brooke Girley, who received a B.A. from New York University in religious studies, a law degree from Duke University School of Law and M.A.R. from Yale Divinity School, according to the network.
Girley comes from a family of pastors.
“An inspirational network for younger Christians is long overdue,” said Girley. “Ambo TV will allow viewers to watch compelling sermons, in real time, from pastors of my generation and discuss them with other viewers from around the world. This is the type of network many of us have been waiting for, and I’m thrilled to be a part of creating it.”
