Letting Go and Leaving the Outcome to God
Vernita Simmons
Many of us have a tendency to hold on to things God never intended for us.
We try fixing a broken relationship that's a liability and not a blessing. We try fixing a situation that's causing pain, sorrow, and regret. We may even manipulate situations in the hope they will turn in our favor. Beloved, it's time to let go and place it in God's hands and leave the outcome to Him.
“Blessed [with spiritual security] is the man who believes and trusts in and relies on the Lord And whose hope and confident expectation is the Lord. “For he will be [nourished] like a tree planted by the waters, That spreads out its roots by the river; And will not fear the heat when it comes; But its leaves will be green and moist. And it will not be anxious and concerned in a year of drought nor stop bearing fruit. Jeremiah 17:7-8, AMP
When things continue to get worse and not better, that’s a sign to step back and breath. Think about the stress that it’s causing you. It occupies your mind with wrong thoughts. You can barely have a peaceful night.
To experience peace, tranquility and a sense of soundness of mind, you’ll need to stop struggling to hold on to something that isn’t in your best interest. God wants to bless you in ways you can’t fathom.
He wants you to experience His peace. So, obey, trust Him and thrust it on Him. He will leave you Awe-Struck.
Lord, I have been trying to fix something that's impossible to fix. Help me, Father, to let it go and depend on you.
