“There’s an orgy camp we’ve heard about and we’re going to give it a whirl this year”
Festival goer Pamella Inveen
Festival-goers or "burners" form different themed camps and gift their food, drinks and skills for free, all in the name of peace and love.
Pamella Inveen, 58, describes her visit so far: "We stay up all night dancing, surrounded by people dressed in nothing but fur boots, taking drugs or drinking cold brew.
“Anything, absolutely anything, goes. Last year my husband and I even got our butts painted.
“We had to bend over while a man painted our rears then we sat down on a cloth leaving a nice design, which we took away with us!”
She added: “There’s an orgy camp we’ve heard about and we’re going to give it a whirl this year."
The Burning Man Festival was first held by Larry Harvey and his group of friends in 1986.
Last year’s festival hosted over 70,000 "burners" including 3,000 rich enough to fly in to the festival site's unregulated Black Rock City Airport.
Otherwise, festival goers can drive or take the bus 270 miles from San Francisco.
Tickets cost £303 for the nine-day arts extravaganza.
The festival has attracted its share of celebrity fans over the years – some of them unlikely – with
SpaceX and Tesla owner Elon Musk and Amazon chief Jeff Bezos among the A-list visitors.
It has recently been slammed for the barbarous conditions seasonal workers face when tasked with constructing the grid upon which the festival operates.
Preparing an inhospitable desert landscape for a brief and boggling spike in population requires a momentous effort by workers who toil in harsh conditions, often for low pay or no pay, for months on end.

My comments: This Festival is an example of a World going MAD.
