The Democrats Are Cooking Up This Secret Plan To Fulfill Obama’s Worst Promise

When Barack Obama ran for President, he promised to “fundamentally transform” America.

Obama left office a miserable failure and Donald Trump got right to work undoing his anti-America agenda.

But behind closed doors, Democrats are cooking up a secret plan to fulfill Obama’s most dangerous promise.

The American people elected Donald Trump to wipe Obama’s failed legacy off the books.

Obama schemed to turn America into a socialist nation similar to Western Europe or Latin America.

Obamacare was a government takeover of the healthcare system.

The Obama administration enshrined the bailouts and “too big to fail” with Dodd Frank.

Obama threw open the borders and rolled out the welcome mat for illegal aliens with his illegal executive amnesty orders.

And Obama pushed a radical social agenda to attack religious liberty and traditional American values.

From day one, Donald Trump went about undoing this assault on the nation’s identity and principles.

He tore up the disastrous Iran deal.

Trump withdrew from Obama’s job-killing and wealth stealing Paris Global Warming Accords.

The President ordered the Pentagon to reverse Obama’s transgender policies.

But it was when Justice Anthony Kennedy retired that the left realized they were really up a creek.

Kennedy was the fifth vote that enshrined homosexual marriage and the right to abortion on demand.

Liberals require the court to enact the radical social agenda because they can never win them at the ballot box.

So Trump having the ability to appoint Kennedy’s successor could undo all of their illegitimately gained social programs.

As soon as Kennedy’s retirement was announced – and the Democrats realized they had no way to stop it – whispers began to float around Capitol Hill about how the left would extract their revenge.

Liberals settled on the un-American policy that blew up in FDR’s face back in 1937: court packing.

Roll Call reporter Steven Dennis tweeted:

“LARRY SABATO AND I HAD SAME THOUGHT YESTERDAY: DON’T BE SURPRISED NEXT TIME DEMOCRATS HAVE CONTROL OF CONGRESS AND WHAT IF THEY CONSIDER CHANGING THE NUMBER OF SEATS ON SCOTUS. NUCLEAR PROCEDURAL OPTIONS HAVE ALREADY BEEN DEPLOYED. NORMS HAVE BEEN TORCHED. THIS WOULD BE ONE MORE.”

The whispers soon turned into a full-on drumbeat when two members of Harvard Law faculty demanded the Democrats pack the courts with anywhere from two to nine additional justices in order to cement a liberal majority.

Faculty member Ian Samuel insisted the Democrats should pack the courts with nine additional justices to form an 18 member Supreme Court with 13 liberal appointees:

“IF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY WINS THE 2020 ELECTION, IT WILL HAVE WON THE MOST VOTES IN 7 OUT OF THE 8 PREVIOUS NATIONAL ELECTIONS. ADDING SIX MEMBERS TO CREATE A FIFTEEN-MEMBER COURT, WHICH WOULD STILL HAVE 5 GOP-APPOINTED MEMBERS, IS ACTUALLY INCREDIBLY GENEROUS TO THE REPUBLICANS.”

And liberal legal guru Laurence Tribe predicted if the Democrats won in 2020, they would pass a law to install two new liberal justices to override Trump’s Supreme Court nominations:

“IF SCOTUS OVERTURNS ROE V. WADE IN 2019 OR 2020, I’D PREDICT A MASSIVE BACKLASH. DEMS WOULD WIN THE PRESIDENCY AND BOTH THE HOUSE AND SENATE IN NOV 2020, AND CONGRESS WOULD ENACT A LAW ADDING 2 SEATS TO SCOTUS IN 2021 OR 2022. REMEMBER THERE’S NO CONSTITUTIONAL MAGIC IN NINE.”

For all the left’s talk about Donald Trump violating Constitutional “norms,” the reality is the left never believed in them to begin with.

They believe in raw political power.

And they will utilize every tool in their kit in order to crush their opposition and turn America into a socialist nightmare.

Liberals view the Supreme Court as a super legislature, so expect the talk of court packing to pick up steam and become a key litmus test in the 2020 Democrat primary and beyond.
