The whole separation of illegal immigrant children debacle is a manufactured crisis being used by the Democrat Party and its allies in the media to drum up animosity toward President Donald Trump and the GOP-led Congress prior to the upcoming midterm elections.

Of course the Democrats rejected the bill. They have zero interest in a solution. Nor do they genuinely care about illegal immigrant children. This is nothing but a political game to them that they plan to continue playing until it pays off in more votes during the midterms.

“There are so many obstacles to legislation and when the president can do it with his own pen, it makes no sense,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer whined to the media Tuesday. “Legislation is not the way to go here when it’s so easy for the president to sign it.”

So the same Democrats who accuse the president of being a dictator whenever he signs an executive order now want him to sign an executive order? This makes about as much sense as the so-called “Keeping Families Together Act,” an inane bill that Schumer’s colleagues in the Senate have proposed.

As noted by Sen. Tom Cotton in a tweet Tuesday morning, a more appropriate name for the bill would be the the “Child Trafficking Encouragement Act.”

“Show up at border with a minor & call him your child, then you get released into the US! Children will be abducted & sold to drug cartels & slave-traders as a free ticket into US,” he wrote.

The bill is DOA for about 1,000+ reasons, one being that it would effectively bar federal authorities from detaining any illegal immigrants traveling with children. How so? By preventing federal authorities from ever separating them from the children, even in cases where separation is warranted.

“Federal officials would [therefore] be unable to detain migrants because the current law bars them from detaining children,” notes Breitbart.

This in turn would allow any illegal immigrant — including drug dealers, gang members, rapists and human traffickers — “easy access” to the United States, “providing they also bring a child.”

“The Democrats aren’t presenting a serious bill here. They are making a political statement which they know is going nowhere,” Streiff of RedState rightly argues.

Exactly. It’s all bullshit and liberal propaganda predicated on ginning up anti-Republican hatred, to hell with the kids, and to hell with the rule of law.
