SCHOOL BOARD BANS FACT: 'BIOLOGICAL SEX' IS NO MORE

Instead, orders students to be taught sex is 'fluid spectrum'

The board in the Fairfax County, Virginia, school district has decided to ban the fact that there is a “biological sex,” and instead teach all students that sex is a “fluid spectrum.”

The members – Karen Keys-Gamarra, Ryan McElveen, Ilryong Moon, Megan McLaughlin, Jane Strauss, Pat Hynes, Tamara Derenak Kaufax, Sandy Evans, Karen Corbett Sanders, Dalia Palchik, Elizabeth Schultz, Thomas Wilson and Niharika Vattikonda — have voted to adopt the extreme “Family Life Education Program, described by officials at Liberty Counsel as “the most radical sex-ed curriculum in the country.”

WND reported weeks ago when board members were considering the move to teach children that there is no such thing as “biological sex” – and also that “clergy” are not to be trusted if students have questions.

The vote was 10-1 this week for the new program, said officials at Liberty Counsel.

“The Fairfax County School Board is harming the health, safety and well-being of the students and ignoring parental rights by forcing these ridiculous unscientific ideologically driven notions about gender,” said Mat Staver, founder and chairman of Liberty Counsel.

“This disregard for the rights of the parents and for the overwhelming community opposition is absurd. The school board promotes the idea that people are randomly ‘assigned sex at birth,’ when the reality being male or female is hardwired,” he said.

“It is not a mere mistake of some random assignment at birth. The school board members who approved these changes are endangering children not educating them. This is not education, but indoctrination,” said Staver.

The board members insisted on having what they wanted despite the fact the members got more than 1,300 comments in the days before the vote – 83 percent opposing the change.

“The board also voted to instruct every high school student, without their parents’ permission, about the daily homosexual sex pill PrEP, recommended for the ‘very high risk’ behavior of condom-less sex with multiple partners of unknown HIV status. PrEP has a 10 percent failure rate for preventing HIV infection and even AIDs Health organizations warn against it,” LC reported.

The legal team said the new curriculum “will also include teaching and promoting the harmful practice of anal sex, discouraging abstinence by falsely claiming it is not 100 percent effective, encouraging sex before marriage and promoting permissibility, and loosening the dress code standards for students to avoid ‘slut shaming.’ Some of the content will be moved out of the FLE curriculum and into a general health curriculum called ‘Emotional and Social Health,’ making those lessons mandatory with no opt-out, regardless of parents’ wishes.”

Seventh-graders will be instructed, “definitions for sexual orientation terms heterosexuality, homosexuality, and bisexuality; and the gender identity term transgender.”

A year later, it’s on to “Individual identity will . . . be described as having four parts – biological gender, gender identity (includes transgender), gender role, and sexual orientation (includes heterosexual, bisexual, and homosexual). The concept that sexuality is a broader spectrum will be introduced.”

Then it’s: “Students will recognize development of sexuality as a lifelong aspect of personality. Instruction will include that individuals are sexual beings from birth to death and that sexuality evolves from infancy to old age. Sexual orientation terms heterosexual, homosexual and bisexual; and the gender identity terms transgender will be defined.”

When the plan first was uncovered, it was the Family Research Council that raised the alarm.

“Already, each public school student must suffer through 80 hours of sex ed. That’s not a typo: 8-0,” the group’s report said. “They call it ‘Family Life Education’ but everybody knows that’s a joke. You won’t find lessons on building happy marriages and healthy families here. No, instead you’ll find hour after hour of instruction on your evolving ‘sexual identity,’ on the proper handling of contraceptive drugs and devices, and on how to give consent for sex.”

The teachings instruct children that “they weren’t actually born male or female. Advisers scrubbed ‘biological sex’ from all lessons and in its place put the politically charged ‘gender-fluid’ propaganda term ‘sex assigned at birth.’ 

As one adviser explained: ‘Biological sex is meaningless!'”

The report warned, “The sex ed advisers have finally identified a word that was too offensive for students to hear. They voted to strip the word ‘clergy’ from the list of trusted adults that students might consult with sexual identity concerns.”

“Fairfax kids deserve better. And the Fairfax School Board members need to find another line of work,” the FRC report said.
