Friend,
Chike Uzuegbunam, a student on Georgia Gwinnett College, wanted to share the good news of Jesus with others at his school, but he was prohibited from doing so outside the campus library because it wasn’t a “free speech” zone.
And the next time Chike spoke, standing in a free-speech zone with an approved free-speech permit in hand, campus police silenced his speech because they deemed the information he shared as “disorderly conduct” because it “disturbed the comfort” of listeners.
In other words, this public college, receiving taxpayer funds, simply didn’t like Chike’s speech so they silenced it.
It is frightening to see this taking place on a campus in America.
The Department of Justice filed a “statement of interest” in a federal lawsuit against Georgia Gwinnett College’s “speech zone” policy and just recently the Georgia state legislature begun debating free-speech zone policies.
The threat to religious free speech isn’t isolated to Georgia. It is a real threat in most every state and on many campuses across America.
It’s crucial we put into office legislators and those in governance who are committed to protecting religious free speech, and for this to happen Christians must vote!
We have a plan to ensure millions of Christians vote in the thousands of elections taking place this year. Through Public Service Announcements on TV and Radio, an aggressive social media campaign, and our church and university outreach, we can motivate and equip millions of Christians – but we can’t do it without you.
Primaries across the nation are taking place. We must engage as many Christians as possible before the elections!
I hope I can count on you to be part of defending religious freedom in America.
United. We Stand.
