The left: chickens and ducks rate higher than babies

David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt of the Center for Medical Progress are facing 15 felony charges for doing explosive undercover investigations in California. They secretly taped Planned Parenthood executives and staff members gleefully describing how they evaded the law and made bank by selling butchered baby body parts to the highest bidder.
The latest tape released by CMP indicates quite strongly that Planned Parenthood engages in infanticide.
- At one point, Taylor told undercover CMP representatives, "In Arizona, if that the fetus is – comes out with any signs of life, we're supposed to transport it. To the hospital."
When one CMP investigator responded, "Is there any standard procedure for verifying signs of life?" Dr. Taylor added, "Well, the thing is, I mean the key is, you need to pay attention to who's in the room, right?"
The release of CMP's grisly recordings one by one beginning in 2015 shook the political world. CMP's whistleblowing work led to congressional investigations which found Planned Parenthood to be in clear violation of laws which forbid trafficking in human organs and tissue.
If ever an organization deserves to be completely defunded and put out of our nation's misery, Planned Parenthood is it.
It is a blasphemy that ordinary taxpayers are forced to foot the bill for its cannibalistic and barbaric behavior.
Now mind you, California's law on eavesdropping does require both parties to consent to any recording. But it does provide a generous exception for recordings that are done as part of an investigation to expose criminal behavior.
And the conversations were recorded in public places, at conferences and in restaurants, hardly places where Planned Parenthood could reasonably argue they had an expectation that the conversations would be treated as "confidential communication," which is the standard in the law. In fact, it's often difficult to hear the audio on the CMP tapes clearly because of the buzz of surrounding conversations and the clatter of restaurant dishes.
Daleiden and Merritt are being prosecuted by state attorney general Xavier Bacerra, a former congressman who picked up the mantle from former AG Kamala Harris, who launched the first salvo against CMP before becoming California's newest senator.
According to Washington Free Beacon, the two prosecutors in this case received more than $47,000 in donations from pro-abortion groups.
"Harris was the 12th largest recipient of contributions from pro-choice groups, receiving $39,855 from the abortion industry as her office was investigating Daleiden, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. Becerra served in the House of Representatives for six terms before being appointed to Harris' seat. He received more than $7,600 from Planned Parenthood and NARAL, which also gives him a 100 percent rating on pro-choice positions."
Recusal, anyone?
Daleiden and Merritt have already faced similar charges in the state of Texas, where they were exonerated completely and the charges thrown out of court.
The nauseating double standard on the part of the left is on full display here. Let's not forget that 60 Minutes has routinely resorted to just such secret recordings to produce some of its most startling and ratings-grabbing exposes. Apparently what is good for the liberal goose is not good for the conservative gander.
Let's also not forget how the left gleefully celebrated the secret recording that caught Mitt Romney's 47% comment on tape during the 2012 presidential campaign. There were no complaints from the left, no demand for prosecution, despite the fact the recording was made in a private home without anybody's permission.

Nope, if they serve leftist causes, secret recordings are not tawdry in the least but noble examples of courageous truth-tellers outing the bad guys.
In 2014, for instance, a group called Mercy for Animals surreptitiously taped what they believed to be animal abuse and cruelty at one of America's largest duck farms. Did authorities responded by filing felony charges against Mercy for Animals? Hardly. They launched a full scale investigation of the duck farm.
In 2015, Mercy for Animals released another undercover video, exposing the mistreatment of poultry at a Foster Farms slaughterhouse and three other poultry farms in Central California. Again, authorities responded, not by trying to put the Mercy for Animals folks behind bars, but by investigating Foster Farms instead.
So we have reached the wretched point where, as David French puts it, "the lives and deaths of chickens and ducks rate higher than the lives and deaths of human babies in the womb." May God help us all.

My comments: Every Christian should understand the America has No Future, before the Living God, as long as Abortion Murder is Sanctioned by the Government.
