WHY CHRISTIANS NEED SPIRITUAL PREPARATION
Exclusive: Joseph Farah warns Jesus' return will bring terror instead of joy to some 'believers'
I’m talking to Christians only now. If others want to eavesdrop, that’s OK.
If Jesus came back tomorrow, would you be ready to greet Him?
How sure are you that He would say to you, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord”?
Do you have any fear when you read these words from the Lord?
“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
Are you one of those people who says, “Oh, the return of Jesus is not coming any time soon”? Do you know what He said about those servants who were not watching for Him with eagerness and readiness? I won’t tell you, because it’s so unpleasant, but you can look it up in Matthew 24:51.
The Bible makes very clear that Jesus wants and expects His disciples to be watching expectantly for His return.
If you’re not doing that, you should probably reconsider. I’m always surprised when I hear prominent pastors say they don’t care about prophecy and never talk about it with their flocks.
I would love to ask them how they misconstrue or ignore the very words of their Savior.
By the prophetic signs and my reckoning, Jesus should be coming back soon – very soon.
And that’s why I believe it’s time for spiritual preparedness by every true believer.
Do you realize He will be coming to usher in a radical new world order when He comes to rule and reign from Jerusalem as King of Kings?
Do you have any idea what that Kingdom will look like and what will be expected of you?
For those who take my warning lightly, it’s entirely possible and plausible that the coming of Jesus will bring terror rather than joy and destruction rather than deliverance for those who have not prepared their hearts and minds.
So, how does one prepare?
The most important way is to be obedient to what Jesus commands us to do.
Did you know Jesus gave many commandments to His followers during His earthly ministry?
- He told us to take His gospel to the ends of the Earth.
- He told us to love one another and to love our enemies.
- He told us to watch for His return.
- He told us to keep His commandments, and, since He wrote all biblical law, I’m pretty sure that means all of them.
- He told us to seek first the Kingdom of God. Do most Christians even know what that is?
- He warned us, over and over again, in His gospel accounts not to follow the traditions of men but only the Word of God.
How many Christians are in full compliance?
That’s why we need to prepare.
Oh, one more thing. Did you know Jesus called on us to be “perfect”?
I’m not joking. Look it up.
“Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.” (Matthew 5:48)
