Obama Legacy Smothering Americans In Regulations – Even As He Hits The Curb
Fox News’ James Rosen reports on the regulation push by the control freak in the White House, noting that his replacement, President-elect Trump has stated that his biggest surprise as a politician is the fact that regulation, not taxation, is cited by business leaders as the biggest drag on growth.
In his speech announcing that some jobs would be remaining from Carrier, he noted that over the course of the last six years 260 new federal regulations have gone into effect, 53 of them that impacted that facility. The government is running employers out of the country.
Rosen says the Obama regime is on pace to enact over 3,700 new rules and regulations this year, which would be a new record. The Federal Register is on pace to exceed 87,000 pages. White House spokesliar Josh Earnest defends the regulatory inundation by the regime, saying it won’t “be characterized by a last minute rush on the way out the door.” Instead, it’s a constant tsunami that never ends.
Rosen points out, “As of Inauguration Day, Congress will have an option to reject rules and regulations enacted by Obama since mid June. But many Obama-era rules and regulations from before then can also be nullified through executive action, non-enforcement and other means.”
Rosen adds, “A study released this week by the American Action Forum, which also favors deregulation, found that recent EPA rules on heavy trucks pushed the total regulatory price tag over the next ten years over the one trillion dollar mark. An accounting that will require every man, woman and child in our regulation nation to cough up $3,080 a piece to satisfy it.
Undoubtedly the Trump team is hard at work preparing for the big clean up, to wipe the ridiculous, wasteful, counterproductive and illegal actions of this pretend ‘president’ off the books immediately upon assuming power. With that in mind, Obama knows that these regulations he’s passing now will never see the light of day.
It’s still, right up to the last minute, all about him, and his laughable notion that he has a legacy of anything other than treachery and failure.
