Bachmann and Coulter strike back against media attack on Trump

WASHINGTON – The pundits and the press largely portrayed it as a horrible mistake when Republican candidate Donald Trump declined to say if he would accept the outcome of the presidential election, which he said Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton has “rigged.”
Michele Bachmann, on the other hand, saw it as a courageous example of speaking truth to power.
The former congresswoman told WND, “Thank God for a bold Donald Trump who not only sees this criminality, but who is willing to call it out and fight for the right to have our votes counted and not cancelled by fraudulent voting.”

Columnist Ann Coulter got straight to the point vehemently in an email to WND, referencing the disputed 2000 presidential election, and using capital letters for impassioned emphasis: “AL GORE DIDN’T ACCEPT THE RESULTS OF AN ELECTION UNTIL DEC. 13, AFTER TWO SUPREME COURT RULINGS!!!!! Has anyone who talks about politics on TV ever paid any attention to politics before?”
During the third, and final, debate of the 2016 presidential campaign Wednesday night, moderator Chris Wallace asked the Republican nominee if he would accept the outcome of the election. Trump replied, “I will tell you at the time,” adding, “I’ll keep you in suspense, okay?”
Democratic nominee Clinton immediately responded, “That’s horrifying.” After the debate, her campaign chairman John Podesta declared that Trump had “made a tremendous mistake.”
The mainstream media agreed with virtual unanimity, and that line immediately dominated the headlines in post-debate coverage.
A prime example would be CNN’s coverage, which conservatives might find read more like an op-ed piece then a straight news story.

The article on debate highlights penned by CNN’s Stephen Collinson, with contributions from Jim Acosta, Jeff Zeleny and Dan Merica, declared that Trump’s statement was a “stunning moment” that raised “the possibility of an extraordinary departure from principles that have underpinned American democracy for more than two centuries.”
The piece further claimed, “The stance threatens to cast doubt on one of the fundamental principles of American politics — the peaceful, undisputed transfer of power from one president to a successor who is recognized as legitimate after winning an election.”
However, as Coulter pointed out, that was not at all how the media reacted when losing Democratic candidate Al Gore actually refused to accept the outcome of the 2000 presidential race for five weeks, until the U.S. Supreme Court essentially validated the outcome of the Florida vote recount.
At the time, Gore strongly and specifically said he was worried about the possibility of voter fraud.

“I am very troubled by a lot of the stories that have been reported,” Gore said. “Whenever you have allegations of those kind, that is a matter the entire country ought to take seriously.”
Another Democratic presidential election loser, current Secretary of State John Kerry, reportedly claimed he was robbed by voter fraud in 2004. And, the Federalist documented eight times liberals claimed an election was stolen or rigged.
Despite Gore refusing to accept the results for weeks after the election, no evidence of actual fraud was ever uncovered in the Florida vote in 2000. However, the real potential for fraud by Democrats in the 2016 election has already come to light.
An email revealed by WikiLeaks on Wednesday, sent by Clinton campaign manager Podesta on Feb. 3, 2015, indicated he is not troubled by voter fraud.
Podesta wrote, “On the picture ID, the one thing I have thought of in that space is that if you show up on Election Day with a drivers license with a picture, attest that you are a citizen, you have a right to vote in Federal elections.”

As the Gateway Pundit noted in reporting the story, “12 states and the District of Columbia allow driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants,” and, “Almost half of California’s driver’s licenses went to illegal aliens last year.”
Earlier this week, journalist James O’Keefe released undercover video exposing dirty tricks by Democrats.
Bachmann told WND, “One democratic operative whom O’Keefe filmed on camera violating campaign law visited the White House, according to White House records, over 340 times! Whom did this criminal visit while at the White House? ”
Actually, White House records show it was 342 visits since 2009, and, even more significantly, they show he met with President Obama an eye-popping 47 times.
That political operative was Robert Creamer, a middle man between the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee. Creamer resigned after O’Keefe made public video that caught him on camera bragging that he, and other staffers, sent activists to disrupt Trump rallies.

O’Keefe also caught on camera another Democratic operative, Scott Foval, explaining how the Clinton campaign even finances the dirty tricks: “The campaign pays DNC (Democratic National Committee), DNC pays Democracy Partners, Democracy Partners pays the Foval Group, The Foval Group goes and executes the s–t.”
Bachmann was livid that the media was questioning the validity of Trump’s concerns while virtually ignoring the growing evidence supporting them.
“When will the media ask that crucial question? Election fraud appears to have been directed FROM THE WHITE HOUSE! That is the story of the 2016 election and that story must be told and repeated and shouted from the rooftops from morning until night until the final vote is cast in November,” she texted to WND.
Bachmann added her own searing accusation.
“Never has the machinery of government been more involved in the rigging of a national election than this year.”
She blamed the media as well as the administration.
“Mainstream media, including sadly Fox News are slanting coverage to favor Hillary Clinton.”
But she saw a remedy.
“Now the American voter has to go on offense at the ballot box and bring every legitimate voter there is to vote to overcome the clearly documented fraud.”
Coulter did find something good to say about at least one member of the media, while acknowledging Trump hasn’t always performed as flawlessly as a polished professional politician.
“Despite my own constructive criticisms [of Trump] in the past — and even a few objections to last night (WHY WHY WHY EVER GET OFF THE ISSUES????), Chris Wallace was really terrific. I’m totally impressed. He was so good, he embarrassed the other moderators.”
Coulter is perhaps the nation’s leading critic of illegal immigration and was the first nationally known commentator to predict Trump would win the GOP nomination. The author of the bestsellers “Adios, America,” and “In Trump We Trust: E Pluribus Awesome!” also praised the Republican candidate’s overall performance in the debate.
She particularly liked another Trump comment that Democrats and mainstream pundits abhorred.
“Trump was great. Best line: ‘She’s nasty.’ I am not saying that because I’m an idiot liberal John-Oliver-lover, who just likes to hear the opposition insulted.”
“He crystalized something in that moment: She IS nasty,” Coulter said of the woman who called half of Trump supporters “deplorable” and “irredeemable.”
“Of course candidates take shots at one another, but with her it’s nonstop! Her relentless belittling and sneering not only at Trump, but at his supporters, and any opposition, is a very unappealing characteristic. It was good for him to point it out.”
