RUSH LIMBAUGH: TIME FOR OPERATION CHAOS 2.0?
'There is genuine panic in the Hillary camp'
Joe Kovacs
PALM BEACH, Florida – Just two days after WND Editor Joseph Farah called for an Operation Chaos II to help Bernie Sanders become the Democratic presidential nominee instead of Hillary Clinton, radio titan Rush Limbaugh is wondering if the phenomenon is already happening, even without anyone changing their registration.
Limbaugh said on his national broadcast Wednesday: “I got people saying, ‘You gotta do Operation Chaos 2.0. You gotta do it again. You gotta do it for Crazy Bernie.’ I think it’s actually already happening. I think Operation Chaos is actually the new name here for the Clinton campaign.”
The original Operation Chaos was Limbaugh’s effort in 2008 for Republicans to temporarily switch their party affiliation to Democrat so they could vote for Hillary Clinton to keep her campaign viable against the juggernaut of Barack Obama that year.
But now, with the continued success of Sanders, including his decisive win in West Virginia on Tuesday, some are hoping to see the self-avowed socialist senator from Vermont snatch the nomination away from Mrs. Clinton.
“There is genuine panic in the Hillary camp,” Limbaugh said. “They know she’s got the nomination locked down, but it’s got ’em concerned. She’s losing support. She losing energy. She’s not getting anywhere near the same kind of support she got in 2008 in the primaries there, and she ended up losing. Her support is even more tepid than it was in 2008. It’s clear that if there were no prearranged assignments of superdelegates to Hillary, that it would be up in the air. If this were not a preordained outcome on the Democrat side this whole thing would be up in the air.”
In his column Monday, Farah explained: “I don’t have quite the megaphone Rush does, but I would like to suggest Republicans can still make their votes count this primary season – especially in California – by crossing over and voting for Bernie Sanders.
“I know it sounds distasteful. I know it sounds repugnant. But it could produce tremendous results – and deny that witch the delegates she needs to win. For me, a long-time California voter, it would be the next best thing to an indictment of Hillary.”
He noted that those looking to take part in the chaos and change parties have to act quickly.
“You still need to re-register by May 22 for Bernie’s name to appear on your ballot,” Farah wrote. “Oh, how I wish I still lived in California right now. I would do this in a heartbeat. The idea represents a ‘force multiplier’ for the impact of your vote. …
“I have no doubts that [Limbaugh’s] campaign was successful at taking some states away from Obama in 2008 and causing the Democrats some agonizing moments of anguish. But this year, the campaign could actually deny Hillary the nomination and stick the Democrat Party with an avowed socialist at the top of the ticket.”

Limbaugh noted that even now, without him asking for Republicans to vote for Sanders in any primary, the Vermont senator has serious momentum.
“Every time there is a primary it seems like Bernie Sanders wins it because he has now won 10 of the last 15 primaries,” he said. “Now, if Bernie Sanders or others, somebody along with Bernie, Democrat Party could convince just half of Hillary’s 524 superdelegates to move over to him, then he’d be tied with her. You know, I think I saw he’s got 89 superdelegates, and Hillary’s got 524. That right there is the illustration of how this is preordained.”
Limbaugh believes Democrats are in panic for the general election against Republican Donald Trump because Clinton has been on a continuous downslide in recent weeks:
The story is that Hillary Clinton is headed down the home stretch coughing and wheezing her way to the finish line. Hillary Clinton has had months to improve as a candidate. She has had months to work with a voice coach. She has had months to adjust. She has had a guaranteed outcome. She could have been doing a lot of things to change the perception.
She could have been engaging in many efforts here to look energetic and confident and so forth. But she hasn’t done that, and therefore the perception is that she’s limping across the finish line.
And the perception is that if the game weren’t rigged via the superdelegates, she might not win this at all. And she can’t improve on herself. That’s the thing. That’s the dirty little secret. This is it. This is Hillary at her best. There hasn’t been a better Hillary. This, folks, is it. She’s deeply flawed. She’s limited. She’s not interesting, except from the standpoint that Nurse Ratched is interesting. But she’s not engaging interesting. She’s not the kind of person you want to know more about. She’s not the kind of person you want to see more of. She’s not the kind of person you want to hear more of. All of those things are attributes that Trump has. But Hillary doesn’t have a single one of them.
Regarding a potential reboot of his Operation Chaos, Limbaugh said if he does go for it, it might not be as good the second time around: “It’s one of these things where, you know, you do it once and you do it. You come back and you try it again and it’s never the same thing. It’s kind of like you go out there you have a great spontaneous time, a Saturday night party, just any kind of spontaneous get together, it goes so well, ‘Let’s do it again next week.’ And so you try to do it again, it’s never the same.”
