Anne Graham Lotz: These Signs Prove That We Are Looking at the 'Last Generation of Human History'
Anne Graham Lotz, daughter of famed evangelist Billy Graham, believes that "God is removing himself" from America, revealing in a recent interview the two biblical signs that she believes indicate that this could be the "last generation of human history."
"There's frustration, there's anger, there's fear, and I think it's because God is removing himself, because we've defied him," Lotz told The Church Boys podcast on Friday. "We're telling him to get out and so he is. So, what we're sensing is that our nation is missing God and he's withdrawn, and the only way to get him back is to pray."
The evangelist, who authored the new book, "The Daniel Prayer: Prayer That Moves Heaven and Changes Nations," pointed to Jesus' words in Matthew 24 to highlight two specific prophecies that she believes are unfolding before the eyes of the world.
"Two of the last [signs that Jesus] gave was that Israel would be reborn. He said that the fig tree would put forth leaves and the generation that sees that is the last generation," Lotz said. "For 2,000 years, Israel was scattered all over the world. Jews were scattered everywhere. They didn't have a homeland."
But the events of May 14, 1948 changed all of that, she said, with the state of Israel re-emerging, and with Jews flooding back to their homeland in the subsequent decades — a theme that is also discussed in detail in my new book "The Armageddon Code: One Journalist's Quest for End-Times Answers."
"They went back to their ancient homeland, speaking their ancient language ... using their ancient currency, even," Lotz added. "And Jesus said that the generation that sees that take place is the last generation."
She also invoked Matthew 24:14, which reads, "This gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come," to point to another sign of the end that she believes is unfolding.
"Right now, the gospel is being preached to the whole world," Lotz said. "I believe my lifetime is the last generation of human history."
She went on to discuss the power and importance of prayer, saying that it is "critical" in determining the future of America. Without God's intervention, Lotz argued that the fragmentation and chaos in contemporary society would only continue.
"Every single area of our existence and our culture — government, education, social, race, you name it — has major problems," she said. "No one person can resolve all this unless He's Jesus."
Lotz concluded, "America needs healing right now."
As TheBlaze previously reported, Lotz recently made headlines after a years-old video featuring her proclaiming that "human history is winding down" and that "we're living in the last generation" before Jesus' return gained renewed interest last month.
