Nation seethes as women given free pepper spray to defend selves

In the wake of the apparently coordinated attacks by Muslim men on European women on New Year’s Eve, it comes as no surprise that Germans are trying to protect themselves, apparently in opposition to their own government’s wishes.

Gun sales, as restrictive as they are in Europe, have spiked. As WND reported, “The Swedes are preparing: demand for firearms licenses is increasing; more and more Swedes are joining shooting clubs and starting vigilante groups. … According to police statistics, there are 1,901,325 licensed guns, owned by 567,733 people, in Sweden. … Add to this an unknown number of illegal weapons. To get a gun permit in Sweden, you need to be at least 18 years old, law-abiding, well-behaved, and have a hunting license or be a member of an approved shooting club. In 2014, 11,000 people got hunting licenses: 10 percent more than the year before. One out of five was a woman.”

However personal firearms remain the exception, not the rule for European women. There is also the reality that pulling out a gun in a mob environment of hostile Muslim men – up to 1000, in Cologne – could put a woman in greater danger. Shoot once, and the mob is likely to take her down.

More problematic for those wishing to protect themselves, Germany has some of the toughest gun laws in Europe. Therefore the German people are looking at alternatives, and one of the most popular alternatives is rapidly selling out in the wake of the refugee crisis: pepper spray. The German website Focus said Nov. 6 that sales of pepper-spray have jumped 600 percent in the past two months.

ZeroHedge reported what a 600 percent spike looks like:The New Year’s Eve attacks in Cologne, horrific in and of themselves, were bad enough; but the situation was intensified by the mayor’s refusal to identify the attackers and instead gave women “blame the victim” advice on avoiding future attacks – advice which caused German women to explode in anger.

Cologne Mayor Henriette Reker encouraged women to adopt a “code of conduct” to discourage African and Arabic men from such attack. Some of her suggestions include keeping “at arm’s length” from strangers, traveling in groups, and asking bystanders for help.

Because pepper spray is virtually unobtainable in Germany at the moment, women responded with gratitude when a group handed out free pepper spray in the town of Halle on Monday. According to the New Observer, “Grateful German women snapped up boxes of pepper spray handed out by activists from the German Identitarian movement in the Saxony-Anhalt town of Halle today, in a powerful political propaganda act that the organization hopes is emulated elsewhere in the country.”

The Identitarian movement is considered a European far right youth socio-political movement which some have linked to neo-Nazi themes.

Capitalizing on the fear people are experiencing, the German Identitarian movement also included literature with the pepper spray handouts, which read:

Surely you have heard of the shocking events in Cologne.

On New Year’s Eve there was massive sexual violence: Women were surrounded, abused, dishonored, and stripped.

“What women have experienced there were rapes,” said one officer, who served on the night. Meanwhile, the number of victims has risen to about 500, as more and more women report to the police.

There were at least two cases of rapes. The police seemed unable to prevent the brutal assaults. Sadly, Cologne is not an isolated case. At the same time, similar incidents occurred in Hamburg, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, and many other cities.

The perpetrators belong to organized ‘asylum seeker’ gangs. Over 1,000 North African and Arab men are said to have gathered together for the violent excesses. The vast majority of identified suspects are alleged ‘refugees.’

Cologne Mayor Henriette Reker therefore convened an emergency meeting. But the result was shocking: instead of finally showing firmness against criminal foreigners, Reker called on the German women to change their behavior!

At major events in the future, she said, they should keep an ‘arm’s length’ distance from strangers.

This is a policy that mocks the victims: Instead of defending our security, our dignity, our way of life, and our culture, she asks us to submit to the stranger – in our own country.

Our people deserve security. But this policy is a betrayal of the people.

Cologne is a symbol.

It has shown that the state has failed: It has not protected its borders. In the past year, more than a million illegal immigrants have entered our country, and the state now cannot – or will not – protect women and girls.

Therefore, it is up to us to defend ourselves. It’s time to fight back. For us, our families, and our country.

Therefore, the Identitarian movement has decided to hand out free defense sprays to women. The defense spray in your outstretched hand is the right arm length that you need in order not to become a victim!

Our appeal is: Do not give in! Defend yourselves – because it is our land!

Take care of yourself and travel safely through the city.

We demand:

• The immediate closure of the border and rejection of all illegal immigrants!
• The deportation of all criminal foreigners after they have served their punishment!
• The remigration of illegal immigrants to their home countries!

As the widespread cover-up of migrant rape and violence continues – with any non-flattering observations about migrant behavior condemned by governmental officials and main stream media sources as “hate speech” – Germans are increasingly taking matters into their own hands. A group called “Dusseldorf is Watching” attracted 2,300 members in less than 24 hours as people clamored for the opportunity to protect themselves. Its members plan to attend major events to protect women from gangs of migrants.

There are growing concerns the suppressed anger and frustration will lead to a rise of the far-right neo-Nazi parties in Europe, particularly Germany. As Vox World noted, “Sympathy for neo-Nazi beliefs is rising, although neo-Nazism remains a fringe political movement. … [The] neo-Nazi groups’ message of xenophobia and hate seems to be finding an increasingly receptive audience among ordinary Germans.”
